  1. It could be a defining moment for Nunez and Liverpool. Our bench was arguably stronger than Liverpools.
  2. Think I've said something similar on here not too long ago. He seems to be playing just the same whether it's the 1st minute or the 91st of the game and thus tends to get better and better the longer the game goes on as other players get tired. He's not a player you put on to change a game if you need a goal. At the point he came on we were up, so I guess it is justified if Tonali was running on fumes as it doesn't noticeably change our formation or way of playing. Would have preferred a more high energy sub to kill the game personally though. Longstaff is either a starter or someone to help see a game out if we're under pressure.
  3. Soz if already posted. Howe as usual manages to calm me down. Should have watched this earlier
  4. I don't really care about the subs. More the mentality of the team overall. I wanted subs on sooner, and more intensity in our game. Neither Barnes, Longstaff or Wilson really busted a gut after coming on. Whether it's down to instructions, the players or a combination we'll never know. Just hope we see a (cringe) 110% effort against Brighton next for more than 20 minutes.
  5. Still can't get over this game. Sickening how we played after the sending off. Intensity definitely was not our identity. We should have increased our pressure on them after the red until we had a 2 or 3 goal lead. We had all 5 subs left. Keep the pressure up and if a player is unable to run anymore there's plenty of fresh legs to put on. We have a squad now. Use it. Putting out the same team as the last two games and doing the exact same subs at the exact same times when it was easy to see this could end badly the longer the game went on....really hope lessons has been learnt.
  6. Against Villa in a similar situation Barnes first gave it on a plate to Wilson and the chance was fluffed. The next similar chance Barnes took it himself and scored. Only the wrong choice it the wrong one in retrospect. Rough to put any particular blame on him.
  7. Think I'm just gonna sign off for the day Gutting result that Liverpool deserved in the end. Extremely dissapointed. Can't be bothered looking at all the knee jerk reactions and comments from the doomers though.
  8. Yeah we saw your message the first time. Piss off now pls.
  9. SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUBS PLS
  10. Get Livramento, Anderson, Barnes & Wilson on. Kill the game with intense pressing & quick counters.
  11. Aye, he just forced what will probably be among if not the best save of the season. Get rid.
  12. They can play with less shackles on as they have nothing to lose at this point. We need to match their energy to kill the game, not put our foot off the gas as we seemed to do. Trust Howe to sort it in HT talk.
  13. Isak looking a bit sluggish so far. Not reacting fast enough to situations around him.
  14. Does Pope have some sort of mental block making him unable to stay composed against Liverpool?
  15. On paper they have more goal threat on the wings, a more attacking left back and a better keeper. We have a better striker and midfield. Not much separating the two teams. Their team, by their recent standards is very average. Our team is the best it's been for 20 year.
  16. How so? I'd say it's the complete opposite. We are much more direct which generally is better suited for rainy weather than a short possession game. Surely a small advantage as well with our new EDL aquisitions who are used to rain vs. the fancy foreign mercenaries of Liverpool?
  17. Completely forgot Burnley-Villa was on. Switched on Sheffield U - Man City. Looked at Man City rolling ball outside of Sheffields area for 5 minutes and turned it off before coming on here. Man City are beyond boring to watch. Thank god there's a more exciting and competitive game on at the same time.
