    Sunderland

    Hehe, too funny.
  2. Hopefully they'll have this on the official site, would be nice to see it, they've thoroughly deserved it this year.
  3. lol, Tadic doing a Ketsbia, down to his undies
  4. I said a few days ago I would sell at 15 million, might push that up to 20 million now. 10 goals in a pl season is a hell of an achievement. In this crazy market 20 million mightn't be enough.
  5. Fabulous performance 10th place, what an achievement. Thank you Rafa, thank you lads.
  6. Palace 2-0 now, need to hang onto the 3-0 and hope they don't get another.

Depends on how big the pot is if the pot is like this season around 30 million then you've just eaten up two thirds of it and still don't have a striker.
  8. 74% possession for Fulham, can they do that against the better teams in the PL if they go up ? Do promoted teams need to learn how to play on the counter ?
  9. The Mackems murdered these guys 4-1 at their place. IT's a funny old game, as someone once said.
  10. They were blowing times away for a while but lately it's been sneaking over the line. They got a lot of luck against the Mackems and lost a game had they won on the last day would have sent them up. They are not in bad form but they've certainly slowed down.
  11. Didn't realise the playoffs started tonight. I fancy Derby to win this one. Fulham have gone of the boil lately, like last year have a feeling they will fuck up when it matters. If Derby get through then I think Villa will be the final team to go up. Bruce is an expert at these playoffs and if anyone is going to beat them it'll be fulham. Pulis at Boro has no real experience of these games, they may though be in the best form of the four teams right now.

If we are quoted 15 million snatch their hands off. 20 million it becomes more of a question on whether we want to blow our limited funds on a winger when Striker is clearly more of a priority. What I can see happening is that we balk at their price, no one else comes in with an acceptable offer and we agree to another loan deal on transfer deadline day.

Don't think it's anything new to worry about here. Of course the club will play that card, that a manager with just a year left on his contract is not going to be as appealing to prospective transfer targets than one with 3 or 4 years left. It's true and a logical step to take in negotiations. Don't think there is much of a story here, we all know Ashley is a cunt and will drive a hard bargain. We also know Rafa is not a first timer here, he'll have seen all this before. The proof of their intentions will come out soon, if Rafa signs then they've obviously given him enough assurances to satisfy him, if that the case then rejoice (until of course Ashley breaks his promise), if he doesn't get those assurances then he won't sign and it'll be a matter of when not if he leaves.

    Jamaal Lascelles

https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/jamaal-lascelles-wanted-everton-newcastle-14643255 Think he can do a lot better than that club tbh, and the can keep on walking if they think 25 million will get it done.
  15. He wasn't booked man, at least I didn't see it or the lads at NUFC.com. Think Odin may have been talking through his arse like. http://www.nufc.com/2017-18html/fixtures.html

    Transfer rumours

I'm spending all the ridiculously low transfer fund Ashley will sanction on a striker like, let any other holes be addressed through money made from sales (assuming Ashley permits re-investment) and loans.

    England

You are, he's a woeful manager man, shockingly under qualified for what was once the premier job in English football. This is the man that's picked Jake Livermore, Joe Gomez and Alfie Mawson, he's clueless, there's a lot of young talent in England right now, we could do so much better than the inevitable defeat on pens in the round of 16 or 1/4 final that's coming. The guy will waste this generation, if he's left in charge for any length of time.
  18. Me too, still young enough for Rafa to coach him up of course. An unsuccessful year at Swansea will have helped his price tag a little. I would want another striker though too, a little more proven in the top flight in a major league. Selling both Mitro and Gayle to help fund both moves. Getting rid of joselu would be a bonus too but we would need a third striker if all three left.

    Transfer rumours

We'll be in for a CB or two in the summer I think with Mbemba and possibly Clark moving on, think I would like someone a little better than Dawson. Nastasic is out of contract in the summer, think he would be a great pick up. If we are looking for a back up, bring in a promising youngster to groom rather than this 28 year old.
  20. Damn it would have like Manure to win that one, as we could then knock off another team that won't finish ahead of us with our 11 goal GD advantage.

    Steve McClaren

Me too. He just reminds me of someones crap uncle. For me, he's someone that should never have been given the job here. People like Douglas in the Ronny Gill touting him for the job then ripping into him when it all went pear shaped amazed me, like it was some kind of surprise. The guy had failed in so many places, it was always going to happen at a place like NUFC, the only thing he did right was getting sacked and making way for Rafa, a proper manager and someone capable of handling a job of our nature.
  22. Yeah Vardy on the end of his passing would be something to see. Bellamy is a good shout too, puts into perspective how from that ideal we are right now, with Joselu and Gayle supplemented with Perez.
  23. I'm sure you are right, Just looked at his international record, 7 goals in 12 games or something, golden boot at the confed cup last year. Never gonna happen unfortunately. If Ashley said you have a 50 million budget before sales, I honestly wouldn't be adverse to spending the whole lot on someone like Werner who would be the ideal type of striker we need, making do with loans to cover the other gaps in our squad. it's such a huge hole for us, so many games like last night that could have swung the other way if we had a decent quality striker on board.
  24. How realistic is Timo Werner ? I know they scouted the recent Europa League semi, obviously they have a player of interest somewhere. Werner from what I've seen seems to be the type of striker that would thrive in our system. He's at the right age from the owners perspective. Just think he may be well out our reach, I don't know ?
  25. Until Ashley leaves (if that ever happens) we are not a proper club.
