I just have the feeling that Hughton landed in the right place with us, he had the right group of players to work with and they complemented one another. I think it'll be much more difficult at Brum, they will lose most of their best players this summer and he doesn't have the dressing room support just yet. Time will tell but if I were a betting man I wouldn't put a lot of money on Brum bouncing straight back up.

Larrson wil;l do very well there, if they can get Whickham in too they'll have done a lot to balance out their squad, still more work to do, which knowing bruce he'll do via the loan market. That Henderson deal was a bloody fantastic one for them, got them well and truely out of the shit, stupid Liverpool, it's still doesn't make any sense to pay that much for that footballer.

I dunno I quite like the Bolton shirt, thought the Wolves one was the worst of the lot followed, dunno how they can mess up that simple design so badly. Also really dislike the Fulham efforts and Villa's is foul, why put those checks in there just not needed. Unfortunately gotta say the Mackems have a nice home kit this year. I still like ours though, but Nolan is hardly the best model for it.

Don't give a fucking shit. The majority of people from Britian, like Britian and want Britian to have a team to cheer on, no reason at all why we should pander to a vocal minority.

FFS Scotland and Wales seriously piss off. Here's a wonderful opportunity for some of your best players to play for an Olympic Gold medal. They'll never get the opportunity to be able to compete for any other international trophy, ever. You are going to deny them that chance and deny the British public the opportunity to witness their own team take part in the Olympics on our soil. And for what reason exactly ? Because you may lose your independent status, even though FIFA has already assured you that that won't happen. FFS the Faroe Islands, San Marino and Luxemborg have international football teams, they are not going to withdraw your status. I hope we just still go ahead with putting in a team whether they have the blessing of these stupid FAs or not, personally I think we should be putting in a GB team at every games not just this one. If the scots and welsh win the battle we should get the English Curling association (if there is such a thing) to object to the scottish curling teams we send under the GB flag, deny them the once in a lifetime opportunity to compete for Olympic gold, fucking idiots.

I don't like our chances or the first 2 months. I can see us winning 1 or maybe 2 of those games. Also if there's a time you don't want rto be playing a Steve Bruce side, it's early season. Desperately need some players in to give us a chance. -
Still not sure what to make out of this one, really we'll only be able to judge this transaction when the summer recruitment is complete and we start playing a few games. We'll miss his goalscoring ability, replacing those goals he gets from midfield will not be easy. But at the same time, if he wasn't scoring then what was he offering to the team ? This deal also frees up wages that can be used on new recruits as well as putting a little money back into the coffers. I'm leaning towards this being a good move based on a blind hope that we have a lot of irons in the fire that for once don't end up staying there. Anyway to Nolan, thanks for everything you have done for this club over the past 2 years, your influence around the place will be sorely missed, it's a shame in many ways he went to a club like west ham otherwise I would wish him all the success in the world.

It'll be interesting to see what sort of job Hughes does there. He did excellent at Blackburn picking up the pieces that Souness left there, and established them as a decent mid table side. At Fulham he's had a good season, not an easy job taking over from Woy. However at ManShitty, I thought he was terrible, really with the resources available to him he should have done a lot better than he did. Got a feeling he may be one of those small club managers, one who thrieves in a low expectation/less pressure situation but struggles when he has to deal with bigger clubs who are less forgiving. Aston Villa will give him another chance to manage a big club, lets see how he does.

As good as barca obviously are manure have got to be a bit embarrased at their performance. Outside the first 10 mind they have been shocking.

Too much panic here, it's just posturing atm. Barton knows that this is the best environment for him and it's unlikely that a better club will take a chance on him this summer. The club need a few senior pros on their books and Barton's performances have shown he should be one of the ones we tie down. I'm sure a deal will get done, it makes too much sense for both sides, just gonna take a while, no need to panic just yet.

It's gonna be a hell of a day on Sunday, I hope it's Wigan and Blackburn but I think it'll be Blackpool and Brum. Manure always play on the last day of the season, credit to red face there, he never coasts, Spuds a lot to play for in their last game and I can't believe Brum are good enough to get anything there. Wigan will do what they always do and sneak out of it with a point or better at Stoke.

I'm really pissed off. Obviously they are coming nowhere near Calgary, where I live. But I'm going down to Orlando for a 3 week holiday, in July, unfortunately I come back home on the 21st and we play on the 23rd
-
I dunno, maybe I'm crazy or something, but I quite like this shirt. Much much better than this year's offerring imho. I guess I need to seek professional help, as someone suggested.
-
What the hell's going on here. Anyway one thing's for sure we need to upgrade from him and Taylor for next season. I've got 2 strikers, 1 CB, 1 young cover DM as the team needs, plus of course any replacement for any players we are stupid enough to sell.
-
I just did thee predictor thing, with a little twist. I had every result going against us as we currently stand in the table, all 1-0, so the lower club always beats the higher placed team by 1-0 with the exception of our games where we lose them all 1-0. The result was that we finished 4th bottom on goal difference, so in essence we are mathematically safe, assuming our GD stays where it's at in relation to the others at the bottom.
-
I would love to see Blackpool stay up, I think they've been good for the league. But obviously I don't want anything other than 3 points from this one, no reason why we can't get it either. Although to do that we have to start scoring again, two games without a goal now.
-
Since this hasn't been confirmed anywhere else I tend to think this is misinformation. Absolutely no reason for us doing this. I still think Routledge is a good sqaud player for us and worst case, we would have no problem selling him in the summer for perhaps a profit.
-
We've been dreadful in this 2nd half, this was 3 points for the taking, Villa look a totally disjointed team. But we've been terrible really. Considering the team we were able to put out I guess it's not surprising.
-
We are in huge danger now, the wheels seem to have totally come off since the win at Brum.
-
We are in real danger of relegation again now
-
Fucking pile of crap that. Everton are not a great team and this was a game we should have won. Did not keep a Arteta under control, their only play of real creativity. Terrible team selection, no guille or creativity at all, the one thing they did was battle and commit, outside that there's little positive to take out of this one.
-
What ?? We are missing one player Barton, and two who've barely had 5 mins of football between them for the club in Gosling and Ireland.
-
That's it I think, bad performance with a worrying lack of creativity, without Barton we are nothing.
-
We've got no one to take it
