  1. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/06/02/uefa-super-league-aston-villa-not-ollie-watkins-offers-psr/ Too late for us of course. That £30m plus Man U got for a worse performance than us was fucking scandalous, and like the assortment of other rules, is nothing more than a scheme to keep other clubs in their place. I assume Chelsea have got away with their hotel selling scam as well. As a rule, the tag Big Six should be prohibited on this forum. Gives them too much respect. Instead use Cartel Six, Sly Six or even Scum Six!
  2. Disappointing, but we can't compete in any way with Chelsea in terms of salary and location. And trophy winning potential too tbh.
  3. Yeah, I agree. Think it's more likely we'll not have Bruno next season. Could really dampen the mood of the fans if we don't bring in a strong replacement.
  4. Yeah, Bruno to City wouldn't surprise me at all. You just wonder if Isak will want to stick around if that happens.
  5. City fans seem convinced he's on his way there.
  6. So Paqueta allegedly tried to manipulate play for the purposes of betting? That's a much greater offence than Tonali's, no? Should be a 1.5-2 year ban.
  7. Jesus they're utterly deranged on redcafe. Now complaining we're using the press. Ermm, that's precisely what Man U were doing to kick all this off. In order, they have... 1. Disrupted our Dof via the press 2. Made a secret approach without contacting the club 3. Offered compensation below what we'd paid Brighton (who we formally approached and kept it all above board) 4. Publicly complained to the media that we wouldn't just give in to their ridiculous demands and very poor behaviour. What the fuck do they expect All they had to do was go through proper channels and not offer derisory, loss making compensation. Basically don't be cunts.

    Next season

Not sure where to place. What a load of bollocks. City essentially had an unlimited budget. Our spending remains severely constrained unless we sell our best players. https://www.football365.com/news/opinion-premier-league-23-24-season-losers-kompany-ten-hag-newcastle
  9. You speak as if we're in. Man Utd could deny us next weekend.
  10. Fantastic Just a pity about those cheating fuckers Chelsea.
  11. Chelsea winning urgh. We threw the chance of 6th and guaranteed Europe away. Not winning this today. We're too sloppy and slow.
  12. Gordon out then ffs That should-have-been-a-penalty incident could be the moment our European hopes died.
  13. Getting noticed https://www.theguardian.com/football/article/2024/may/17/premier-league-10-things-final-day-season
  14. If FFP and FMV leaves us with a similarly weak squad next season and eventually costs us a Bruno or Isak, I suppose 5-8th is the only realistic long-term target whoever our manager is.
  15. Not harsh at all. Directly cost at least 4 points, and semi final cup place. We would have wilted if we'd made the final though, as we usually do when it matters.
  16. Just want this season over with now. Hopefully finishing 7 or 8th won't cost us Isak or Bruno.
  17. Can handle Man U playing great and scoring a couple of thunderbastards. But when it's calamitous defending you just feel proper
  18. Not getting anything out of this. One of those dire away performances again. Trippier is ripe for yet another cockup that will cost us a goal.
  19. Hope they sports wash the shit out of the region then, because we typically get fuck all from central government. We often have to beg for relative pocket change when it comes to investment.
  20. Arsenal manager. Bellend. Arsenal fans. Bellends Liverpool manager. Bellend. Liverpool fans. Bellends Up until Arsenal's diabolical reaction to losing to us, would have been happy to see them win. Didn't the club even put out a statement ffs

    Anthony Gordon

Isak to Arse, Bruno to City, Gordon to Pool. £160 million of FFP profit. What's not to like.
  22. Maybe not, but they probably hoped we'd do a City rather swiftly with our new owners. Obviously the rules have changed to prohibit that, and it could take several years to reach the top (challenge for title, regular CL, actually win something), if it's even possible at all.
