It's basically functioning like a commercial entity now rather than a public service. You'll have probably seen from my previous posts, the BBC now have a policy of promoting the 'big' PL clubs (esp Liverpool it seems), and now have journalists dedicated to each one (who in the case of Liverpool, is also a fan). The other clubs don't drive enough clicks so are an afterthought
