Probably going to need 3 goals from ourselves to win this. If Tino and Almiron have joined the already massive list of absentees, I'd consider a point a good result. -
Yup. Enjoy the Champions League next season Brummie (assuming you qualify), but doubt you'll enjoy earning £20-30m less than the superleague cartel...just because.

Cmon City. Smash them.
-
Jesus fucking christ man With the purse strings tight, all these long-term injuries risk compromising next season as well.
-
How the fuck is that not a yellow for Rashford?
-
Can't figure out if it's a 3 match ban?

Called the Chelsea and City game, and had this as 2-2 or 2-3. I should become a betting man to cash in on the misery. -
Can't believe he didn't come out for that first goal ffs

This is diabolical...yet again. Injuries only excuse us so far. -

Are Barnes and Trippier still doubtful? Think we'll manage to score a couple, but West Ham to do at least the same. 2-2 or 2-3. -
If he was betting under investigation or bet on Newcastle, he deserves another 10 month ban tbh.

We're gonna end up with a full team of players injured once again this season, aren't we? Is there an official Prem record for player absences over a single season?

Sven Botman: could return vs Ipswich (Tindall)

Think we might have to cash in Bruno on that back of this, otherwise the squad is going to get caught short again next season. -

Probably end up writing off next season too with our luck -
They could also do Pogs of each player

That's a bit shit when we're not up there. Ideally it would have been top 4 only with Villa getting that last spot.
-
He hasn't been great, but £15m in today's market is taking the piss. Add another £5m at least.

You do start to wonder what PiF are now looking for in the club. Becoming a major player is possibly beyond them due to ever more severe restrictions, so maybe some modest improvements then sell up at a profit in 5-6 years? Spending £400 million on a stadium expansion and refurbishment or £700 million on a new 65,000 seater is not worthwhile under that scenario.

Bloody loved that. But let's not get carried away. Liverpool have already won a trophy this season, and likely to add at least another.

FAC QF: Manchester City 2-0 Newcastle United (16/03/24) | Reaction: pg 34
Turnbull2000 replied to Yorkie's topic in Football
Relieved with 2-0. Last season's League Cup final loss seems to be stinging more now. Post-defeat, I thought we'd march onwards and strengthen and it was just a matter of time. Now though it's looking like a once in a generation opportunity against an average team. FFP and FMV are making it increasingly clear we won't be allowed to match up evenly against the superleague cartel, and we'll need exceptional luck to win a domestic cup. -

Can't catch a break, can we. But being a bit shite invites this sort of pressure, and the lucky deflections that might come with it. This could end up 4 or 5. -
FA Cup Quarter-Final Draw - Manchester City (a) - Live on BBC One
Turnbull2000 replied to 54's topic in Football
Only real hope is City don't play their strongest team. Would settle for 2-0 tbh, rather than continuing our rabbit of conceding 4 goals (or even more god forbid). -
Guess it's a coping mechanism...
