Post match meal, Dominos ... really?!

I'm not really sure how anyone can say they overpaid for him. A proven PL goal scorer at 21 years old who's only going to improve and whose value will only increase over time.
25m for someone who right now according to Everton fans is inconsistent and still very raw is a lot of money in isolation.
But as I have said before money only matters at the top level nowadays if the player flops.
Which I can't see why he will so doubt they will care if he's over or under priced.
Imagine having a 21 year old who was considered raw and inconsistent, and who still managed to score the amount of goals he did. Hell of an investment. No question about it.
Let's see what he does now he knows he is a full member of Everton, and can really settle in, and be involved with them from the outset.

"I think he is a player a lot of clubs will be looking at in the summer. I don't think Everton will get a free run at him"
"At the moment, it is a bit like we are with Loic (Remy). It is a situation that Everton would love to keep him, as we would with Loic, and those questions are really out of Everton's and our control."
It was out of Everton's control right up until the point they decided to buy him.
The man's mouth just keeps emitting nonsense.

Pardew couldn't even set us up in a consistent formation, and have us play one kind of way consistently. He's not improved anyone I promise you that.

Lukaku is a bit hit and miss over a season. If he can sort out his consistency he'll be unstoppable.
Not surprising considering his age really. He'll definitely improve, particularly because he will have the pleasure of working with such an intelligent, positive manager, who will never put him down, or allow any pressure to get to him.

Jealous as f*** of Everton making this signing and having such a top class manager like Martinez whilst we're stuck with our fraud.
Hiring Martinez
Barkley emerging and signing on long term
Loaning and then signing Lukaku long term
Like friggin buses ...
-
Remy definitely had a great season for us it has to be said. Really thought he would have excelled at Liverpool, with the pace of their play and all the chances they create, he would have looked sensational IMO. Think they made a mistake cancelling the deal.

Debuchy was never improved, he just didn't show his true level at the start.
Cabaye neither, I suppose you could make an argument for Ba.
Cabaye definitely improved in his spell here. There's a reason why the likes of Arsenal and PSG were uninterested when he was at Lille, but suddenly perked up after 2 and a half solid seasons in the Premier League. He plays far more regularly for France now than when he signed for us also.
Nah, not having it. Doing it in the prem just raised Cabye's profile. Wouldn't say he improved.

I reckon KaKa likes Lukaku.
He's alright I suppose ...

Nope ... Ba has always produced also. Scored for West Ham when he first came over. Had always scored in Germany.
Pardew has done nothing for anyone. He's a hapless pant.
-
I think those three maintained the level of play they always had. Pardew never improved them, no way.
-
Hypothetical. If you had a choice between Remy, Lukaku, Aubemayang or Laccazette. Who would you want us to sign?
It would be between Lukaku and Aubameyang for me.
Lukaku is an absolute force, great physical presence and a decent turn of speed to go with it.
Aubameyang isn't as much of a presence, but his pace is just silly, I mean it's the kind of manufactured pace you see on created players in video games. Sizzling pace. Electrifying player when in full flight.
Lukaku is just 21 years old though, and he would better suit the way our dufus of a manager plays. Have to be Lukaku. Aubameyang would never get any decent through balls from our crap play anyway.
-
Drogba's just returned to the club, and would have been a great mentor, as he's Lukaku's hero. Will be hilarious if he ends up outplaying Diego Costa next season.
-
By the way what are Chelsea doing selling such a player? Absolute mugs IMO.
-
5 years form now he'll just be 26 years old ... barring any injurys, God knows what kind of force of nature he would have evolved into then. Geez.

Exceptional from Everton
Dirt cheap for a beast of a 21 year old who is already banging in goals regularly in the premier league.
What a future for Everton, having tied up Barkley and Lukaku. Brilliant.

How are Everton financing this just out of interest? When Moyes was in charge, we didn't hear the end of Everton's supposed shoestring budget in the media. Can't imagine the conditions have changed much since Martinez took over.
People forget we had a considerable surplus last year thanks to the Fellaini sale. I was fully expecting the profit to disappear into a black hole like it usually does, mind.
I didn't forget. In fact I mentioned it a few pages back. I'd appreciate a bit more credit around here. Thanks.

We are going to be so bad at the back this season. Should be comical. At least it may hasten Pardew's sacking.
-

Well Milan had a go with Taraabt last season, so they'll definitely give Hatem a go also, I'd imagine. He'll tear it up. We'll look daft.
-
Apparently Lukaku is close to joining Everton permanently
The price will be interesting.
The talk on SSN is £24m in instalments over 3 years...
Man, that makes it seem really cheap. Spending £8 million a year for three years to get Lukaku.
We only pay upfront though ...

Funny what happens when you have a charismatic manager that has the team playing lovely football, and still achieving good results. Owners enjoy it too, and their purse strings loosen up some.
In all honesty though, think it's more to do with the money they got for Fellaini last year, and Lescott previously.

Barkley signs new contract with Everton
This boy seems to have some smarts to go with his incredible talent.
He will be a huge star. Great decision.

Can you imagine going to the gym, and then having a pizza straight after?! This is an abomination of the highest order!
Nothing wrong with pizza, but right after all that physical activity?! Horrendous.
