    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Yeah, we followed this guy for a while and came close to signing him. I remember watching a clip of a reporter in Portugal discussing a bid that we apparently submitted at the time.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

God, I'd be so incredibly happy if this involves Isak going over there man.
  3. Outside of Tonali I really like Miley in that deeper midfield role and think we should keep him and play him there as a rotation option. Really not keen on seeing Bruno in that deeper role this season.
  4. Then if it's too expensive they ought to buy someone else.
  5. Forest should not be accepting a buy back clause from Man City.

Elanga speaks 5 languages as well I think. Pretty wild.

It will go through Friday at 12:01pm.

  10. Spence is Spurs version of Tino.
  11. PSG could do with a striker ... Wish they'd give Newcastle a call.
  12. Yeah, solid well rounded manager that could really go to another level with the resources at Spurs. Good decision to get him from Spurs.
  13. Chevalier was a favourite on here as an "exciting" keeper signing. Wasn't great from him and generally hasn't looked the most commanding of goal keepers.

Neither of those look like Thiaw or Bramble for goodness sake

Really good article in the Athletic on why we liked him. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6546421/2025/08/12/malick-thiaw-newcastle-milan-howe/ Oh ... and for all of the people that we're screeching about us not knowing what we were doing regarding paying more than Como. The article mentions that was largely due to us wanting to spread the fee out over a number of years.

If El Khannouss is the alternative option then pretty comfortable with that too really.

Oh my God .. what on Earth have you been watching man?! Because it wasn't the same Miley. No way.

Exactly! If we agree a fee with Porto it's a whole different story.
  19. It's funny how we keep signing players that won't start for teams worse than us that all keep over achieving and outperforming the players your lot spend 100s of millions more on. I am absolutely in position to criticise your club actually I can see you're getting carried away with signings and winning the transfer window again. The actual football will soon start up and then we'll see Lets see if all those players you've signed can reproduce the form they did last year, when they were actually playing for teams better than yours!

https://www.jn.pt/desporto/artigo/newcastle-observa-samu-e-aperta-o-cerco-ao-avancado/17858310 Newcastle are watching Samu and tightening their grip on the striker Newcastle sent an envoy to Estádio do Dragão the day before yesterday to observe the Blue and Whites' match against Vitória de Guimarães (3-0), specifically to gather as much information as possible about Samu, JN has learned. The Magpies' observer's report likely noted the Spanish striker's performance as largely positive, as he was crucial in Porto's victory, having scored two goals and participated in the play that allowed Pepê to break the deadlock. Newcastle, JN has learned, has not yet made an offer for Samu, but is the most strongly interested in the Spanish player, having been linked to him for several months.
  21. I understand you're embarrassed, and you should be. Claiming you'd get £60 million for Garnacho was ridiculous, and I will continue to remind you rest assured Isak is damaging his own reputation. We'll bank the £100 million plus and continue to sign good players and improve the team. That will enhance the reputation of the club and make it more attractive for future signings. What will damage the reputation of a club is the continued failure of talented players that join and then can't be moved on afterwards for decent value, and mostly have to go out on loan. This is your club's speciality. Garnacho, Rashford, Sancho, Antony and now Hojlund. All in their 20s, and all busts already that you are struggling to recoup money for. What a shambles!
