Pedri should do better there.
-
Yeah, maybe. There's a chance it's all a lot of noise being fed to local journos to throw teams off other targets.
-
Uncanny timing

Portugal vs Spain just kicked off. Showing on ITV1.
-
The point was that Spurs would be unreasonable to deal with, as they always are as sellers, particularly if Newcastle showed interest, as they wouldn't be in a hurry to do us any kind of favour. Genius.
-
There's absolutely no point discussing this with you, so I won't waste my time. You didn't read my post properly, have clearly not paid any attention to Spence when he featured this season, and so you have no idea what you're talking about.
-
The only other player I can think of with Prem experience, that offers similar traits as far as one on one defending, ball carrying, strength, speed and athleticism, and that can play both sides at full back, who is similar in age with potential to improve further is Djed Spence. Spurs would probably ask for £60 million. So Man City should just go over there instead. They can afford him.
-
There's all sorts of reports out there. No one can know for sure which is true. Reports from Newcastle were claiming we didn't even go any further once we were quoted the fee from Brentford, and didn't speak with the player after that.
-
How do you know what he has his heart set on?
-
Yeah I could see that, probably with some add ons if we meet some team targets going forward.
-
It says 70 million Euros, which comes out as £59 million.

Kulu had been playing more as a number 10, through the middle. Brennan plays down the left too, and is likely to switch over to that side, as Frank usually prefers to have bot wingers cutting inside. And so there's room for Mbeumo on the right.
-
Yeah, talk of this has started doing the rounds. Once Man Utd put in that lower bid and were taking their time, and Frank was confirmed at Spurs, I mentioned that I wouldn't be surprised if this happened. Levy loves a hijack, and he'd easily pay that £60 million Brentford want, with the Champions League money secured and having hired the man that got the best out of Mbeumo. He also paid similar for Solanke last year without much hesitation. Could get very interesting.
-
Yeah, they're both excellent young full backs in different ways. Always been more of a Tino guy, because I love his ability to just shut down opposing wingers, which is so easy to overlook. Also think we haven't seen his full potential unlocked going forward down that right side, because of the players we've used ahead of him on the wing, as they don't combine well with an overlapping full back.
-
Just a reminder that we bought Tino off relegated Southampton. After a season in which he pretty much was out all year with a cruciate ligament injury. We paid around £40 million. He has since overcome that injury. Established himself in our first team. And has featured for England, and continues to push for more caps. He's only 23 years old. Asking £80 million is the absolute minimum we should even consider, which in my opinion is still not enough. They have got a nerve thinking they can get him for less. As you can probably tell, this whole thing really annoys me.

If the club accepts a bid I doubt he'd flat out turn it down. However, that does not mean anyone from his side is pushing for the move. Seems to me like Man City are hoping for that though, by putting their interest out there when they have not agreed any fee, in order to unsettle him and bring the price down if he then makes a fuss. I very much doubt that will work. They did the same nonsense with MGW at Forest and failed.
-
Man City are capable of buying pretty much any player out there, and don't feel the hit or implications of PSR. They have no budget. They should not be sold any half decent player from our team when we have to struggle to buy players and improve them. We are not doing this for their fucking benefit. They should be quoted the most ludicrous and absurd fees every time they come asking. Us negotiating with other teams playing by the same rules as us, like Forest, and agreeing a fee and paying amounts we feel a hit on and have to account for going forward, is not the same thing. We should as much as is possible limit the business we do with any "top 6" club, that has tried to curtail our ability to spend. Unless we are completely destroying them by demanding the most outrageous fees off them.
-
A City ITK huh. Well that's a surprise.
-
These deplorable wankers really thought they could just casually come around and buy Tino for some regular fee. Quote them £100 million. And if they aren't willing to bid that crazy a fee. Kindly fuck off and buy someone else, with the hundreds of millions of funny money you've been stacking over there. And if they do bid that amount reject it immediately and add another £50 million on top. I despise Man City man.

Luis Diaz has been made available. He rejected a big money move to Saudi, which was Liverpool's preference for obvious reasons. But Diaz wants to go to Barca, who are not offering anywhere near what Saudi were, and so Liverpool don't want to deal with Barca.

Just a gut feeling if we are actually looking at Elanga and Pedro. I'm cool either way. Whether we keep or sell anyone. They just need to be all on board with the plan. Just thinking out loud.

There was a couple of very common themes on here last season regarding Lewis Hall and Anthony Gordon. Complaints that Gordon didn't support him enough defensively, and also that Gordon didn't use him enough on the overlap. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Gordon goes (with Pedro and Elanga coming in), that we see more of Joelinton on the left, where he covers defensively and uses the overlap very well. Allowing for Hall to be more of an attacking force. And we then see a midfield two of Tonali and Bruno, João Pedro playing in the 10 behind Isak, and everyone's favourite, Elanga on the right. A return to the Howe Bournemouth setup.
