One of the most annoying thing about negotiating with Prem clubs, is that they will drag it on throughout the summer, and so we're looking at not getting players in early if we are insisting on this. No surprise that all the deals we are seeing done early are with players being brought in from outside of the Prem. Be interesting to see if we have an earlier cut of point to avoid the nonsense that took place with Guehi last year.

Yeah, the over reaction to that game was crazy. At least he was trying something different. Instead of always just going with the same setups and players all the time. And like you said they were really good in the other games.

What is Targett's value though, like £5 million?

Not sure why he's being selected. Having said that when he was first picked there were some people on here that said he was a top player that they'd have at Newcastle!

I thought Carsley had the right idea. Was freshening the team up by bringing through a lot of the younger players from the under 21s. He was also playing much more attacking football, and experimented a fair bit with his lineups. This is looking like a step backwards with Tuchel.

Why do England keep hiring these dull football managers that don't really get their teams playing any decent football going forward?

Yeah, Gordon's homework should be to work more on being effective on both sides of the pitch, and to be more open minded to it. Need the wingers to be far more capable of doing so.

Yeah, would be great if we could get someone in that can feature anywhere across the front line. Both Gordon and Barnes really didn't look convincing enough on the right and it limited us so much, as we couldn't really mix things up and play them together effectively. Would be amazing if Pedro can play on the right and be productive, and make that position his own, while being able to fill in elsewhere. Villa used Morgan Rogers behind the striker, left, right and even as an 8 in central midfield and he always caused problems and was a threat. We could really do with some more players with the versatility to be a threat in different positions. Starting with that pesky right side.

There's absolutely no point discussing this with you, so I won't waste my time. You didn't read my post properly, have clearly not paid any attention to Spence when he featured this season, and so you have no idea what you're talking about.

The only other player I can think of with Prem experience, that offers similar traits as far as one on one defending, ball carrying, strength, speed and athleticism, and that can play both sides at full back, who is similar in age with potential to improve further is Djed Spence. Spurs would probably ask for £60 million. So Man City should just go over there instead. They can afford him.
