Insua is a very talented young left back. Watched him for the reserves last season and he looked good. Guthrie can only be marginally worse than MIlner at the very worst. He's probably better than Milner in fact.

But surely that end-product can be worked on - Lennon's young enough and able enough imo to improve that aspect of his game whereas Bentley has no reply to Lennon's pace. I think Lennon has more potential than Bentley in that respect and could come back to bite Spurs if they sell for the wrong amount.

Completely wrong. Lennon will never be as good as Bentley.

When you take into account Bentley's crossing, shooting, ability from set pieces, vision, passing ... it just won't happen.

Milner in the middle seems a popular theory and I can't help but wonder why.

He doesn't have the movement, vision, awareness, passing ability or quick thinking to play in there. I think he would lose the ball constantly. All Milner typically wants to do is put his head down and try to beat his man with step overs, emphasis on TRY, because he usually fails unfortunately.

Just not a good enough player.

I wouldn't pay much attention to what Bentley has to say. I don't think he's really all that fussed about going to a champions league club. He just wants to go to a club that is a bit more flash than Blackburn and would settle for uefa cup footy for sure.
