Yeah, maybe. Guess we'll have to wait and see. There has consistently been reports that Kulusevski is available for around £40 million this summer though. Apparently, Ange prefers more direct and aggressive wingers for his system. Kulusevski's style is more like what we would have got from Olise, and so it would make sense if there was interest there.

Madueke can be all over the place at times., and can be frustrating to watch. I could see him come in and do well, as there's ability there, but he'll always be a bit hit and miss. Kulusevski can look brilliant at times, but then can also sometimes drift through games and not be as effective. Love his profile as a player though. Would definitely opt for Kulusevski between the two. I think if we can get some consistency and a bit more confidence into him, it could be an incredible return that we benefit from at a whole different level.

Me personally, I've seen nowhere near enough of Todibo and Lacroix to know how good they'd be. You seem pretty certain of both. Are you sure?

Yeah, I think it's more likely things like how much money is guaranteed, how much is add ons as well as how achievable those are, and possible sell on clauses and percentages for that, are the kinds of things being discussed back and forth. If we were far off in actual valuation, I'm not sure talks would be ongoing and they would sound quite as positive. When Man Utd and Everton were far off in valuation, it didn't get very far, and we kept hearing Man Utd thought they were asking for too much, and Everton weren't going to let him go for less than their valuation.

The fact both sides are happy to negotiate suggests they aren't far off each other in terms of valuation. And so won't they just be agreeing on how much of the fee is guaranteed money and how much comes in add ons?

The media always focus on the top 6 clubs and hype up the players at them, and the fans duly follow suit. If these clubs aren't involved a lot of fans don't watch the matches. It's why they think the players at other clubs aren't that good. You will often see people on here saying we shouldn't be signing players from certain clubs if we want to progress, which is ridiculous.

I agree with you here. If there isn't an obvious big hitter, then I think we should try and improve still with a player that doesn't break the bank, but that might over achieve given an opportunity. Whether that guy is Reiss Nelson I have no idea. It is interesting, as @Matt1892 mentioned, that we went after him last summer, when his contract was up. Suggests we have some intel on him that we like.

Understand the sentiment, but important to remember that Gordon became who he is now after joining us. If this is true, it may be they're going down the untapped potential route again, and think he could find a much higher level with regular minutes. They would have had to have been following him in the Europa league, or when he was on loan at Feyenoord I imagine, to gather info on him. For me I couldn't even say what to expect from him, as he hasn't featured enough in the Prem to really know.

Dutch and Belgium leagues are the best places to loan younger players in my opinion. They actually value younger players and are better environments for teaching the game and nurturing talent. Just seems to be more of the culture. There's a reason Brighton go down that route. Don't really trust league one and two teams at all in the same way. No chance. Osula would have been further along if he had gone down that route already.

They really should have loaned him out more to be honest. The Belgium or Dutch league and he probably would have made them a lot more money.

This guy is so great man. He just gets it. Really hope the team has a great season, gets back into the Champions League and wins something. Would be perfect timing to pull that all off right now.

Comes across well. Great opportunity for him, and hope he seizes it. Got some exciting attributes that he just needs to bring together at this level. Hopefully by next season he's proven himself to be a viable young backup option to Isak.
