The Maresca hire was a huge call. He's very much a Pep disciple, and I don't think the players they have suit that style. Especially when building out from defence. Badiashile has been awful when he has featured too, and both Colwill and Fofana haven't been too great either. Be interesting to see if they adjust.

Not going to lie, I'm quite surprised by your team at the moment. Been linked with lots of players but just Yoro has come in so far with Zirkzee. Neither of who are likely to hit the ground running early on. With Yoro being out and Zirkzee having got the extra break. Looking a lot like last season's lineup still. Don't know if anyone watched Man City and Chelsea last night. Tosin was a disaster. Doesn't look suited for what Maresca is trying to do so far. It was quite enjoyable to watch. Really hoping Chelsea stink this season.

Interesting that Glasner previously managed Lacroix. Would make that a pretty decent replacement due to the familiarity. That Wharton was being linked with Liverpool a week or so ago, and so that will be very difficult for them to pull off, with him having so many years left on his deal.

Yeah, can't see it after the Tosin deal. They currently have Tosin, Fofana, Disasi, Chalobah, Badiashile and Colwill at centre back. They are all currently fit too.

Not at all surprised. He's quality, and he seems a really class act too. They'll be fine though. Have seen some of them in pre season and they look good. That new manager is great, and a nice pot of money will allow them to continue to recruit well and support him further.

100% agree. Once someone is already performing at a high level in the league, at a younger age, and with room to grow, the fee is always higher. Van Dijk, Stones, Maguire, Rio etc.

Why can't West Ham find a younger forward for the longer term? Could see them having to replace Fullkrug again in a couple of seasons, or even by next summer if the transition is too much at his age. Would really wind me up if I supported them.

It wasn't an intentional move to make you look bad, but a simple oversight. I could add in the word 'progressive' and my overall point still stands as I explained in my last post. The stats aren't enough to define him as not being a progressive passer. Not at all. I've seen him play the ball forward and between the lines too often to know this just isn't true. I've explained how other factors would influence the stats. And so yeah, agree to do disagree.
