  1. Some stupid comments by Rob Lee in here mind!
  2. I love how he bangs this as a positive “A draw on the south coast, which would make it four games unbeaten”
  3. “Even so, they will want their team to win this weekend. If they do not, they should probably look up the dictionary definition of supporter and ask if that still applies to themselves”
  4. Yeah, I thought he did fairly well! Anyway, roll on 10.30am to hear what shit this utter cretin comes up with this week!
  5. An example of how cash out does not work! https://www.facebook.com/101219713369951/posts/1884368098388428/?d=n
  6. “We’ll never win anything [at Newcastle] with a team of James Milners”.
  7. Don't really consider him one of the WUM brigade tbh, he's just a bitter ex-player who hasn't come to terms with the fact he was a s*** manager. If he had ever been considered a successful manager then his views would be of more interest, but he wasn't. He won some stuff at Liverpool on the back of the groundwork done before him, then he promptly turned that to s***. He also a trophy or two at Rangers where he spent much more than Celtic, the only other club in the league capable of winning anything. Not disputing, but he also won the League Cup at Blackburn. Yet he still went on to prove he was a useless manager with us. No idea what the circumstances were with his short term success at Blackburn, but he proved at Liverpool that winning trophies meant nothing there, they went on a downward spiral so fast the longer he stayed there. They were almost unrecognisable as a big club by the time they kicked him out. Blackburn were one day away from sacking Souness when we went in and offered compensation to take him as NUFC manager. Blackburn couldn't believe how lucky they were to get compensation when they thought they were going to have to pay up his contract when they sacked him!! "“We had to get rid of Robson because he would have got us relegated. There was nothing more certain." - Douglas Hall With that insight in mind, just be grateful Graeme kept us up. https://www.irishexaminer.com/sport/soccer/arid-10073423.html WTF had never heard that, what a load of bollocks. “We took two points from a possible 12 and couldn’t just stand back and watch Newcastle slide out of the Premiership." 2 draws and 2 defeats in a 4 game run... including being robbed away at villa. they should have had a red card - keeper i think. Yep - Sorensen as well - we were 2-1 up and missed a sitter to go 3-1 up Boro away first game - 2-1 up - Hasselbaink punched in an injury time equaliser Norwich - 2-0 up - cruising - 2-2
  8. The Boumsong deal was surely Souness' work. He was well in with Rangers' board - might even have had a family member on it. That McKay (McCai?) agent was involved as well and he was as dodgy as a nine bob note. He was best man for Rangers owner David Murray.....

    On this day...

Les Sealey made about 275 saves this night!
  10. Bottom answer for all of them bar one and that was thanks to Callum Wilson!
  11. Yep - it does my nut in! The majority of the debt was due to the sale of the club (which was secured on a 15 year mortgage against 30,000 season ticket sales but needed to be paid immediately due to the sale)!
  12. Great trip! The cross-bar denied Nobby an absolutely outrageous volley!
  13. Ha ha I said last night I wonder how many of the four Hebburn snap up!

    Rafa Benítez

It's a bastard disgrace - to think several of our "fans" were slating Rafa for chasing the money to China as well (the same ones doing the comparisons game by game last season) - absolutely clueless helmets. a) Retain Rafa and sign Rondon, keep Perez (he'd have stayed I think). Let Rafa spend the net outlay Bruce has spent (£80m with Perez staying). b) Recruit Bruce, Joelinton etc. No other football club in the world would have opted for option b). We'd comfortably be 5th this season if option a) had of been chosen FFS. It's a decision that deserves relegation.
  15. Awful - sadly, can see more following
  16. Refuse to believe that any football fan who has been in an away end and celebrated a last minute winner would be in favour of VAR. Ha ha 1000000000%!
  17. https://theathletic.co.uk/2450657/2021/03/17/longstaff-and-newcastle-team-mates-puzzled-by-his-absence-after-bruces-summer-promises/ Shock horror - it sounds like Bruce completely lied to Matty to get him to sign the contract! I had forgot about this too - he's such a clueless clown! Did the same previous year with a clearly unfit Lejeune! After making his first appearance of the season, a 29-minute cameo against Southampton on November 6, he did not play during the next six matches. Then, from being outside the match-day squad, he suddenly found himself playing every minute of three matches in eight days against three top sides in Manchester City (Boxing Day), Liverpool (December 30) and Leicester City (New Year’s Day). Across those matches, in a side that was struggling, he was arguably among the better performers. He was subsequently an unused substitute in the FA Cup defeat away to Arsenal, with many squad members then expecting him to start against Sheffield United three days later, but he again remained on the bench. Then came a 78-minute runout back at the Emirates in the league on January 18, and he has not made a single appearance since. He has not even made a squad since February 15 and has not played a minute since the 4-3-1-2 formation was introduced eight matches ago, despite his energy appearing ideally suited to the system.
  18. I hardly celebrated Matty Longstaff's winner at home to Man Utd as I was convinced that Jetro was offside down the left from my view just behind the goal! VAR is wank especially if you're actually at the match!
