What a chance we have to beat these if only we weren’t in such disarray! Cheers Mike, you fat wanker! Pochettino faces battle to get Tottenham ready for new season https://dailym.ai/2L9Y7Bk

Benitez had hoped to strengthen his squad and consolidate in the top half as well as challenge in the cups. But so far this summer rivals such as Huddersfield and Wolves have spent big while Newcastle are in profit on their deals. Asked three weeks before the big kickoff — and transfer deadline day — what the goal was for the coming campaign, Benitez said: “We have to fix a target to stay up. That is it. Concentrate on staying up, and after that, see where.” Newcastle produced a strong finish from January onward to shoot out of relegation trouble to safety, but Benitez warned: “It will be more difficult than last year. You don’t know, because we finished tenth this year, we can (also) be in the middle next season — because everyone is spending. “The reality is the Premier League is difficult and every year the others spend money and bring new players. Fulham, Wolves are spending. Huddersfield, Brighton everyone is spending making it more difficult. So the target will be to stay up.” When it was pointed out that the Spaniard was hopeful of entering the season with loftier ambitions two months ago, he replied: “Yeah, but it’s what we have at the moment. “One hundred per cent, it is harder to stay up this season. Fulham and Wolves have come up and have big money. “When you talk about the market, you know what offers they are making. They will be stronger at the beginning than Huddersfield and Brighton. Brighton and Huddersfield are already in the Premier League, they are spending some money. Then you see West Ham, they are spending some money.”
-
“I was told that the man behind the deal was Mike Ashley and I sat with his representatives over 3 days thrashing out a deal. I was keen to know why they wanted the club and they were quite honest. They wanted to market their sports goods in the Far East and would use the club to help do this.” Sir John Hall. Cheers to him for looking after out best interests, eh?

Let’s not mention that arrogant, slimy piece of horse shit on Rafa’s thread please!
-
39m behind Huddersfield man how is that even possible it's verging on criminal Net spend 17-18 Huddersfield = £46m NUFC = £28m
-
Approximate net spend so far this summer of the last two seasons promoted clubs; Wolves = £39m Huddersfield = £33m Brighton = £30m Cardiff = £28m Fulham = £27m NUFC = £-6m

Soul-destroying reading that – utter, utter, utter wankers they are.
-
Yeah I thought exactly that! They’d have been pleased as Rafa wouldn’t have been trying to sign players. The press (especially local ones) should be hammering these wankers for how they’re treating him.

Utter piss-take https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/how-rafa-benitez-could-been-12937937 Asked if he has had a holiday during the close-season, Benitez said: “No. I was at home and on the phone. “For me, the last years have been more or less the same — I have been around and on the phone. “I had a weekend in Spain. A Saturday and Sunday to see my mother and family.” He has spoken to virtually every major club in a desperate search for young players and loan deals. Asked if all the transfer toil had been worth it, he replied. “I have tried to do my best but we will see....”

Every tweet is spot on - absolutely detest that odious fat twat of an owner

Rafa thread number 2847 top of the board! Usual suspects (Janey especially!) all over it! At least it’s given our third tier neighbours some pleasure! https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/rafa.1428793/page-5

Exactly - this will be the 4th window in a row where they've taken the piss out of him and they expect him to sign a new contact?! Arseholes.
-
Hopefully it works out better than the last time he had to settle for his fourth or fifth choice. Jesus wept man! That needs bookmarked for whenever Rafa is getting stick for whichever forward we eventually end up with misses sitters!
-
Utter joke - absolute disgrace how they're treating Rafa - wankers

It sounds like Welbeck is up for sale…….……NUFC under Rafa with an owner who actually cares about on the field stuff would have a chance!
