  1. That's Capello mate. Chelsea 4-3 West Ham 2-1 Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea 2-2 Robert was some how completely ignored in his time here like, might be that. Think hes refering to about the Robson era, we didnt win for about 30 odd games until we beat Arsenal 3-1 in 03/04 season?? It was 01/02. My favourite Newcastle season since the start of Premier League. In that season we also won 4-3 at home to Manchester Utd, a fantastic game. Keane got a red card in the end trying to punch Shearer.
  2. Give Ba number 9 and then force Cabaye to take 19 for full customization
  3. Now that it's confirmed, would just like to repeat what I said last night really. Fantastic servant for the club and I definitely wish him all the best. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-D4ETKzWKvpE/TZeORCVEuZI/AAAAAAAAAGs/sxZYolMydfY/s1600/toon+2.jpg Agree. I will miss the chicken celebration. Wish him all the best, and big thanks for the goals against Sunderland,
  4. When WH signed him I was surprised that no bigger fish went for him, but I guess it's because of his knee. He impressed me a lot at Hoffenheim and I think he will be an excellent signing for us, as long as nothing happens with his knee. His injury record in the last 4 season has been pretty good though, and it was only 2009/2010 he had some minor injuries.
  5. Last season was a mixed bag for Barnetta. He did quite a few poor performances and were often substituted at the hour mark. In the spring he had an injury, and didn't have a single good game in those few he started in after that. The season before that he was one of my favourite players in Bundesliga. He can be a great player when he has his day, but I'm a bit worried about his consistency.

    Mevlüt Erdinç

You've seen Erding play, right? If we are to sign him and Ba - I can't see us playing a 4-3-3. Unless Erding is to go wide-right? No Erding is an out and out striker. Ba could and has played on the left wing before but definitely better up front as well. Unless one of them is on the bench and how many others we have got already it would suggest two strikers up front. I wouldn't say that Ba is definitely better up front, then playing left wing in a 4-3-3 formation. He played most of his games for Hoffenheim as left wing with Ibisevic up front and he did at least an equal, if not better job there. I must admit I haven't seen him much in West Ham, but I've seen him in quite a lot of games for Hoffenheim.
  7. "Games aren't won by overall contributions, they're won by goals" Really? Well Tiote doesn't score goals. Get him out of the team then. Lets see what happens. Let's see what Nolan achieves without him in there too. Do you remember what Nolan looked like alongside Nicky Butt the season we were relegated? Do you remember how easily our midfield got over run and dominated with him in there without someone as energetic as Tiote? Come on now! Jeez, what a s**** argument. You've answered your own question. Tiote allows Nolan to play a role in which he is often very effective. Butt was utter pish so it's completely irrelevant. Nolan plays a lot better with Tiote in the side than he did with Butt. Nice observation. Nolan's contribution to the club goes beyond what he's done on the pitch (which is enormous as it is). When it comes to the likes of Smith, spending wages on keeping the dressing room tight-nit is difficult to justify. With the likes of Nolan it's different, however. He's a captain and i'd put him in the top three individuals who've secured our comfortable position in the Premier League, arguably number 1. I'm not saying he should get a bumper three-year extension to his current contract, as it's just not viable from both an economic perspective or an 'on-the-pitch' one. Especially given the length of time left, too. However, i do feel he's earned some leeway in any negotiations, and i desperately hope there's a compromise somewhere around the corner. Personally feel he's an extremely valuable squad member, even if he isn't a world-beater. Great post
  8. The backing off is pissing me off some times. Against Arsenal he backed once so much he almost sat in Harpers knees. Other then that I think he has made good progress during the season and I feel much more comfotable with him as our right back now then I did half a year ago. Not spectacular, but doing a good solid job.

    Shola Ameobi

  10. He should've come back in the summer and ask for a pay rise, due to that his valuation has sky rocketed the last few months. Not do it on deadline day three month after he signed a new contract. It's just greedy. What we don't know is what bullshit his agent talked into his head the last few days though.
  11. Spending ridiculous amount of money on Owen and other shit players, doesn't mean £7.8 million on Ameobi is well spent money.
  12. I really have no clue what he earns so this is just playing with numbers. If he had an average wage of around £15,000 per week for those 10 years, then we have paid him £7,800,000 so far.
  13. We'll get the 40 points needed to stay up. I guess we end up somewhere between 11th and 16th place. Two years ago we were 1 point short. We had 4 different managers, unrest at every level, didn't know if the club would be sold or not, and no confidence at all. Even if we have a similar squad today as we had then, we should be able to do better then that.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

As been mentioned, they have a rich owner and have played in highest Bundesliga for only two seasons. They have their home stadium in Sinsheim with a population of 30k. But it's not far from Mannheim (300k pop), where they also played half of their first Bundesliga season before the new stadium was ready. They now have an average attendance of 29k.
  15. Good sub by Löw. Been very impressed by Kroos in bundesliga this season. Another of Bayerns super talents.
  16. He got a red card. If they gets a red card you are stuck with them for that round, and they can not be substituted or hand over captaincy to someone else. I had both Suarez (captain) and Felipe Melo yesterday. Three red cards for me so far. Gourcuff was the first.
  17. I'm probably pretty alone in here about this. Go go Germany!
  18. Due to lots of teams and players falling off after the group games, you have unlimited transfers between 3rd round and round of 16.
  19. You have to confirm twice. First you confirm the changes. Then it tells you what you have exchanged and how many points you lost from it, and then you have to confirm again. Think that's why some misses out on their substitutions.
  20. Hope England doesn't get that ref. Tackles Gerrard makes week in, week out in premier league would be a straight red.
