Can be a shithouse to opposition fans but he definitely seems to have the right attitude for a Howe side.

Yeah he interviewed well despite the NUFC guy literally asking the same question 7 times -
Pre-season (2025/26) - NUFC to play Atletico Madrid in Sela Cup

With the games announced on consecutive days anyone buying a ticket should have been well aware they likely wouldn’t see the strongest XI. This whole pre season has been about getting fitness in the legs of the full squad against decent opponents. -
Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)
GeordieDazzler replied to David Edgar's topic in Football
Main reason he is hated here and elsewhere because he treated the fans and club with contempt. There’s plenty of average managers we’ve had previously whom I don’t have a deep personal loathing of (although quite a few I do ). -
It’s sort of a tactic to make it hard to compete though isn’t it? Pulisic/Werner/Martial etc could all relaunch their career at someone like us, Villa etc but the wages just make it very dangerous. It’s the whole reason Everton have burnt through money to look worse than before.

With the five subs he’ll get plenty of game time -
Few years at Nice to wind down his career and then retire in the South of France. Lovely stuff.

Maupay is a very effective and clever player but he just doesn’t score enough.

Quite the heel turn from Barcelona this year

Memphis hasn’t really put a foot wrong at Barca. He showed at Lyon he could be a driving force at the right club. Has played with Bruno before too.
-
It looked liked him going to Monaco was a done deal but has went very quiet. Toronto had also been mentioned. They were talking on the ramble how clubs seem a lot more hesitant to take free agents on this year. Think there’s an expectation from the players of inflated wages if there’s no fee and clubs are not wanting to commit to this.

Think Sarr would be a very decent signing at a reasonable price
-
I think he’ll go if/when Chelsea sign a Lukaku replacement. Whether his suitors can hold their nerve until then is a another question.

WELCOME TO NEWCASTLE BENJAMIN SESKO

Just a gamble for him that his knee or something doesn’t explode
-
He’ll alway have a place in my heart for shithousing the home fans at Elland Road

Thought they were close to signing Broja? Has went quiet on that front

Isn’t this just a rehash where we got linked to every player in the Roma team over a two week period
-
How does it not end in tears? If he’s shit it drives resentment of his wages. If he does well and they exceed expectations every other player who’s played well wants a new contract closer to what he’s getting. If the club gives in then they make it hard to move on players when they need to or they face an exodus of players going elsewhere for more money.
