Well, felt for the last 5-7 mins that 0-1 Liverpool was on the cards. Poor goal to concede unfortunately.

In isolation we've done some good work this summer tbh. Getting in Ramsdale, Elanga, Ramsey and Thiaw certainly makes the squad a lot stronger. But it has to be seen as a colossal failure if we don't at least replace Wilson regardless of Isak's/Liverpool's antics. We've had so much time to do that even before this saga began. From my perspective there are no guarantees that Isak will be in the right mood/headspace to even contribute for a long time (or at all) if he's staying either. So to go into a season on the back of CL qualification and a cup win with ZERO strikers ready (or willing) to contribute would be absolutely awful.

I’m a tad miffed with our transfer window this far though and highly doubt (but would happily be proved wrong) that we’ll get in the signings we need to give the manager and squad a better chance at a good season.

Agreed. PSR is shit but there’s nothing stopping us from being a bit more creative either income wise or transfer wise. It’s all a bit stale. Obviously in the bigger picture we’re golden with the cup win and our league positions and so on. But it feels more in spite of the owners efforts and support than because of. I love Eddie but he’s just one man. And I’d much rather have him working within a framework and structure rather than being the sole puzzle piece.

To call us a bit risk averse would be the understatement of the century. 🫠

It's a clusterfuck of a situation. I think it's fair to say that Amorim deserves more time. I also think it's completely fair to say that they have looked utter shit for the most part under him this far. Man Utd need a clear out and bring some fresh blood and energy in to the squad and they will be fine next season. Not challenging for CL places maybe but at least having a go at getting into Europe again. As fun as it is watching one of the traditional "big" clubs failing we all know this feeling as fans, we've been there as well too many times. It's fucking shit tbh. Add to that the slight problem with totally unlikable owners and an aging, overpaid squad and it's not much fun at all. As to the debate in regards to Howe vs. Amorim, it's blatantly obvious that Howe had a better first 7 months in the seat than Amorim has had whichever way you look at it.
