If Martins failed, it's because his brain power couldn't quite handle the faster pace and generally more unpredictable dynamic of the English game. Not that I think he failed. Gameiro is different.

You could even argue that Barton is more expendable, give than he's in the final year of his contract, older and far less versatile.

There is but of all the players who you look at as expendable wages wise he'd be close to top of your list. I imagine they see ferguson as a ready made replacement. No he would not. Not a huge Jonas fan, but that's a preposterous statement.
