I still think Colo is our best CB, but i think we'd have lost with him and Williamson in the team today. It'll be interesting to see who Hughton picks after the Liverpool game. I think it'll be Colo and one of the two who played today.
-
That'd be a bonus for them, not us. Carragher's been awful for the last 3 years. He's not as bad as people make out. Liverpool have fell apart since he's went off. He went off 2 or 3 years ago. Before that he was decent but nowt special.
-
Agree with the above. I like listening to him and Gullit.
-
The way you go on, you'd think Williamson and Guthrie gang-banged your dog, and Coloccini came and saved the day Everyone that disagrees with you has an agenda. I've been one of Guthrie's biggest fans on here since he signed. And i've said several times that I rate Williamson. Again, grow the fuck up.
-
Rubbish, he had lots of space, on the ball and off. Mucked up absolutely everything that came his direction.
-
Exactly.
-
Perhaps we'll see: Routledge Barton Tiote Nolan Jonas Carroll
-
Yeah, Defoe'll take it, he's only missed all of his last 20.
-
And God is a fucking idiot. The peek-a-boo style is for boxing, not defending free kicks in football.
-
I'd never play Barton on the left. He's our best crosser of a ball - I'd have him straight back in on the right. Most of those good crosses come from set-pieces. Not from him being on the RW. Some of his cross field passes make a massive difference as well. Routledge's pace gives us something which we badly need, yet I'm sure if you asked Andy Carroll who he'd rather have out there, he'd pick Barton every time. Barton's still on the pitch. We need to add an extra dimension as we're far too one-sided and team's know it. Ideally I'd like to see Barton, Jonas and Routledge on the pitch, especially at home.

It's more than Jonas has dipped. And I still think Routledge is more creative.
-
Raped Cole for pace on two occassions.
-
He's actually been the best striker in the PL so far this season. And by quite a distance, too.
-
He was dropped for a couple of games in September, came back against City and played brilliantly for the next 4 or so. Recently he's dipped, and not doing what we need him to. Routledge and Simpson looked really encouraging against the best LB in the world today. Perch was holding Wayne back, as most of us suspected.
-
Guthrie was absolutely terrible.
-
Jonas needs reminding that he's not an automatic choice.
-
Exactly. He's a "steady Eddy" if you will. The only thing that concerns me is he needs to toughen up a bit, he can be a bit of a tart at times. Which is quite worrying for a centre half of his size playing Premier League football. He already looks mentally tough to me. He's not the greatest athlete, but he makes up for that in terms of his attitude and street wisdom. It's like he's had to wait a long time to play at the top level, and he's not going to give the chance up easily. You should be a PR agent, an unemployed PR agent.

Routledge Tiote Nolan Barton for WBA.
-
Back in the team for good, hopefully. His first touch was magnificent today.
-
Krul 6 Simpson 7 Taylor 7 Campbell 7 Enrique 6.5 Routledge 8.5 Guthrie 5 Tiote 7.5 Jonas 5 Carroll 7 Shola 3 Ranger 6 2 or 3 poor performances but mostly good. Routledge and Simpson shouldn't be broken up next game. Time for Jonas to sit back on the bench. He's been pitiful for the last 5 games now.
-
Championship player, Vuckic and Ranger are better.

Last time you said this he scored 2 I thought that Drogba lad didn't dive anymore? Who scored 2? Shola. Against? That rabble down the road. I most certainly wasn't posting on here at ht during that game. More biased pro-Shola fibs.
