Don't think England Under 21's are a long ball team and Carroll has fitted in well with them, been excellent, scored goals and had good reviews from the likes of Pearce. but then you know best ;-) He's got 2 goals for them, lets not pretend it means more than it does.

Serious question: I know you have your reservations about Carroll. But what did you think of both his goals against WBA in the cup? Both good goals, shame it seems to happen very, very rarely.

Jonas is far too inconsistent with his passing to be played through the middle, it's something i've considered in the distant past but is overall a pretty bad idea.

Nothing hopefully. Fitz hall is one of the worst defenders i've ever seen in the top two divisons.

yep.. I haven't seen a lot of him but he seems a carbon copy of Alan Smith now. Static, drops deep and passes the ball backwards all the time and of course the bleached f***ing hair.. He's nothing like Smith, but he's an average player at best these days and wont get many goals.

Our new winger from 11th placed QPR has as many goals as Carroll this season.

The gap between us and West Brom has never really been wider. I know it was 10 points after the Boro win but they'd played a game less at that point. If we were to get a striker in, i'd be 100% convinved of automatic promotion.
