  1. Played 3 World Cup games their apparently and was excellent in 2 of them. he's played in the hole a lot more that to be honest and looks very good comfortable there
  2. For balance in the side, too tired to go into it but more than anything it helps everyone in the team to be able to hit a ball up to someone with a genuine chance that they'll hold onto it and keep posession. Plus we're not good enough in midfield to create for two small strikers. Also variety, it keeps the other team guessing as to whether a winger will cross or cut inside and give it to feet, stuff like that. And also because we need more physical presence in the side, especially in the final third. i'm not saying i wouldn't like one, but we have other priorities right now, Viduka looks slim and hopefully he can give us 25 plus games this season, and tbh against certain teams I wouldn't start him anyway
  3. Go to sleep man I'd like a Drogbaesque player, but not many exist. We dont NEED a Viduka replacement, we need creative players with experience and ability at the top level
  4. I dont give a s*** if runs over badgers in his tractor for fun, he's got genuine ability as an attacker and if we could get him for under £10M it would be fantastic business. Especially when the likes of Gareth fkin Bally's 'value' Do you not want him on loan for a season first like to see if he can crack the Premier League ? when did I suggest I didn't want him on loan first?
  5. why do we need a striker in the Viduka mould? really
  6. I dont give a s*** if runs over badgers in his tractor for fun, he's got genuine ability as an attacker and if we could get him for under £10M it would be fantastic business. Especially when the likes of Gareth fkin Bally's 'value'
  7. people are daft. There a few players in the world capable of destroying defences like Saviola is, but of course 'we have fucking Owen and he's an argie and he's too lightweight' makes me sick. Same people who last summer suggested Torres was too lightweight

    England

Good enough to start for the european champions though. The stick Brown gets never ceases to amaze me. Same with Rooney, both are great players for the best team around, yet apparently are s*** for England...think there might be a reason for that. Then again, paradoxically I think Gerrard and Terry never really perform for England cause they're actually no way near as good as people think. Biased I know, but I still think their comparitive club form backs me up. A final word on England's best players being crap. People whinge and whinge and whinge about Lampard and Gerrard together in a midfield. How is it always Lampard's fault? Why is it he, who is clearly not a centre mid and doesnt pretened to be, who should suffer to accomodate the most headless of all chickens? If England want to make any progress Saint Steven should be dropped until he learns how to actually play in midfield, which will be never I'd guess. Lampard should be allowed to play in his inimitable Lampardy way, with a pair of midfielders behind him who know how to defend. I've noticed this place brings out the rants in me, I'm not sure why. with you on all of that tbh, Lampard has rarely being used correctly by England, ffs playing Gerrard in FRONT of him a few times
  9. has to be the latter tbh
  10. fair play Andy Jonas Gutierrez counted to infinity, twice Jonas Gutierrez can slam a revolving door Jonas Gutierrez has no testicle hair, because hair does not grow on steel etc etc
  11. He'll probably be living in Newcastle though like the rest of them. funny you say that, I saw Diouf's double in the big market on monday
  12. are you just gonna keep posting that? it's in Norweigen
  13. here we go again that page is useless for anyone who doesn't speak Norweigen. But Erik Thorstvedt what a guy!
  14. give Cisse a month before he goes shopping in Sunderland city centre and one of his kneecaps gets taken off
  15. consistency doesn't imply great every game, well not to me anyway. If he's getting an assist or a goal every other game (which he was) then he was essentially consistent
  16. this is slowly becoming like a Chuck Norris thing Jonas Gutierrez is such a man, he lost his virginity before his father etc etc
  17. for 3 seasons he was tbh. He had frequent off days, which every winger has
  18. Gary Glitter. if friggin only, great player Saviola will be in by next wed is my guess
  19. a great player is one who makes the team great, which is what he did. Along with Bellamy he saved Shearer from the knacker's yard
  20. very daft thing to say didn't you say you considered Milner a fantastic player a while back BigAl's comment is fair enough. Robert was far too inconsistent to be regarded as a great player. Brilliant on his day but not enough of them most of which was down to him not being arsed. ah well, going by that logic 'his day' must have occured in 9 out of 10 games during the 03-04 season
  21. honestly, what the fuck is he like man
  22. Ronaldo

    Tiago on loan?

aye, fuck him if that's how he feels, still we need a creative midfielder asap
  23. very daft thing to say didn't you say you considered Milner a fantastic player a while back
  24. I support England because I'm English. Crazy concept? I agree re: Terry though. I've thought he was very overrated for a while and is not half the player Rio is. you're right but he's still world class and streets ahead of Carragher etc
