Given at his best isn't streets ahead of Harper at his best, the difference is minimal and they both have strengths and weaknesses. Given has had one good game, let's see him do it week after week. He's done it year after year, Harper has done it once week after week. Given's form was horrendous last season and the season before. It'll take more than one good game to make me think he's 'back to his best'

madness, very harsh on Harper Harper is an average goalkeeper who hit some form for once in his life while Given was suffering the worst period of his career. I'm glad we got both, but i wouldn't lose any sleep if we sold Harper. for once in his life? so 1998-2000 doesn't count where he was for the most part first choice ahead of Shay

-
perhaps, but this is beyond ridiculous tbh
-
jesus christ, how can 2 good saves change your opinion mate?
-
2 good saves doesn't mean he's back to his best, people are going beserk with this man
-
I have a feeling that Harper will play in at least 30 games this season tbh, Given's body is failing him
-
During the Euros I said time and time that I didn't want the diving, weedy cunt here. But I've changed my mind. £20M? why not
-
I consider him to be a better CB tbh
-
I meant central defenders tbh
-
any any any O'brien, O'brien O'brien
-
even though he's comfortably better than every single one of our defenders bar Coloccini
-
It was the last competitive game before Man U. I was taking the piss. Generally he aint impressive on the wing either... but better than Milner and Duff there tbh
-
he'll probably be playing there next week though
-
daft lad again
-
are you just trying to wind me up here? or are you a f***ing idiot? there you go again man, are you trying to fill a sunday quota for negative things to say?
-
If we got a very good CB and CM in we'll have a team to be honest, but it's such a big 'if' if we could find some system to get Owen playing next to Martins with a playmaker just behind em it would be fantastic. Convinced that EVERY defender in this league is shit scared of Martins tbh, he's a fucking gem that boy
-
there you go again mate, stop taking everything so seriously. HATE for Duff DIABOLICAL Coloccini :nope:

one? generous dude, generous...but after he got beyond the disputed period he was good, agreed I saw him slip once but apart from that he was in the right place at the right time and looked solid in the air. I'm not a fan of him either but he looked a good defender today Duff, you're being harsh on aswell tbh. He had no chance to shine today because it was always tight in his area of the pitch and he was expected to support the midfield especially in the 2nd 45. He didn't give the ball away and never stopped moving which created space for Jonas and Martins Milner on the other hand, woeful excuse for a footballer, no matter how hard he tries just think duff was the same as always...i was wanting to chuck my pint everytime he passed the ball onto someone else when he got anywhere near the goal, he's got no bottle which is exactly what Shearer did in his last 3 seasons, he knew his limitations, Duff isn't going to outpace Ferdinand, Evra or Vidic, he played the easy ball. Not saying he had a paticularly good game, but he was decent. No bottle? I'm sorry mate but shut-up shut up? how old are you man? he has no bottle in the sense that he never, once, went at a man, dove into a tackle or did anything remotely dangerous the entire game...he danced about like wayne b****** sleep in the middle of the park people have this smith thing going one, WATCH duff, really watch him then you'll be able to cultivate some dislike, he's a f***ing charlatan how much dislike have you already cultivated for Coloccini btw? you're a funny poster so I dont want to discourage you but you've posted some really daft stuff tonight
-
hopefully Burdisso
-
Saviola Tiago Warnock
-
a night in with Gutierrez or a night out with Coloccini, who do we pick?

here, clown, can you read? f*** off. I saw you put he got better but what kind of retard uses words like that when it's obvious he's finding his feet. No way was he either of those at any point anyway. quality comedy as always tbf, bringing players down/obstructing them without getting the ball is a big part of being a CB
