shut up mate have you seen the tackle ffs? a yellow at very best You really don't have a clue. Any tackle that causes serious injury always equals a straight red. The whole purpose of red cards in the first place was to keep all challenges safe. With that kind of injury, Taylor would have been off even if he had tackled from the front and got the ball. When injuries are concerned, top flight players should be culpable for their actions on the pitch - they are paid well enough. no way that was a red card, Eduardo was too quick for him, simple as

Did he get the ball? Yellow at best ffs. The guy could actually lose his foot going off them photos. no intent there, i've seen the tackle 3 times

It doesn't matter if he tried to break his leg, if he went in to kick Eduardo and not the ball then he should be hung out to dry. hung out to dry? Shearer's career would been over at 25

I haven't seen the tackle but if he went out to get him then he shouldn't be allowed to play again. I was more replying to thespence's comments to be fair, he went in hard but that was about it

If that's the case Taylor should never be allowed to play football again. bullshit, it was barely a bad tackle

looks awful this one

Because we don't bum an average player just because he's come through the youth system? Taylor should think himself lucky he's the local lad who came through the academy because that's what has stopped most getting on his back inside of the ground. So why do people rate Taylor as a prospect, but not Ramage? Because Ramage is a Champion standard defender at best, Taylor on the other hand looked a player that was rough around the edges but could turn out to be a decent player when he first came on the scene, yet here we are 100+ games later and he looks no better, in fact we've discovered that he's thick as s*** and has no sort of footballing brain at all. People still hope he's going to turn into the player they thought, that's why they don't get on his back. I think you're making too many assumptions about WHY people have the opinions they have. I don't favour players because they're from Newcastle, never have, and i'm sure alot of people that have the same views as me aren't that biased either. First and foremost when judging a young player i look at his attributes, not his performances, and i see positive things in Taylor - firstly his aerial ability, he's our biggest danger at set pieces - yes he sometimes loses his man when defending, BUT this is to be expected of a young player, he's reasonably fast(not lightening ofcourse), he's strong physically(i've seen him bully Drogba of all people out of a game), and i have seen improvement in his positioning and maturity(ie not flying into tackles as much). I think he has good potential, but i also think he's not going to fulfill it as long as our team is so unorganized and unsettled - NO young player would fulfill their potential in our current team. Funnily enough I look at attributes too, I see that Taylor isn't particularly fast, isn't as strong as you would expect for someone his size, he doesn't read the game very well and often gets caught out by strikers with a superior footballing brain, he also has little passing ability which means his best form of distribution is the big boot up field. I don't rate him any higher than the likes of Dawson who most laugh at on here. He's not particularly slow, he certainly isn't weak, reading the game is something you gain with experience, and how old are these strikers with "superior footballing brains"? 22? I never said he was weak, I said he's not as strong for someone his size, how often do you see him physically dominate and bully strikers? As for players having footballing brains, it's true that you learn from experience in this department but you're wrong in suggesting young players can't have one now, plenty of young players in the league have footballing brains. He's an average player who may improve, unless he does improve then we should be looking for better because he wouldn't get a look in in the first teams of clubs pushing for the Uefa cup. yep, and to be honest he didn't bully Drogba at all, he simply frustrated him by sticking to him by glue which striker bullied Taylor in November? oh yeah Kenwyne Jones

if we're talking greatest, most ability then it has to be Pedro

My dad sat in the box right next to Sir Bobby for the Birmingham game. During a post-match conversation the subject of the best player he ever managed came up and I was very pleased to hear him say the 20 year old from Brazil, said he had a fantastic attitude to training and his body let him down he'll be missed by me and anyone who appreciates football, and fuck anyone who thinks Shearer was better

Im not trying to WUM. I'd respect the guy a hell of a lot more had he not thrown it away way too early. I mean he's only 31 years old. A lot of injuries yes but just look at him ffs... look at the pictures of him from the summer, when he was working for hours and hours everyday to game himself back into shape to play the game he loves Good for him. Doesnt bring time back though does it? Could've been even more. you're trying to spin so it's his fault, it's unfair

who hasn't done 100mph on a 70 limit for fuck sake, the limit on the A19 is ridiculous anyway

you actually consider 15 game a season Woodgate a component of a team's spine?
-
Have you been watching him for Blackburn? yes I have and yes he has been good for Blackburn. But I was referring to his performace for Englad though. If Bently wants to be compared to Beckham, he needs to consistently perform for England and not just against the likes of Switzerland. you said 'don't see what the big deal is with Bentley.' His performances for Blackburn this season and last should explain the current hype

a lot of horrendous games you mean, he's been a fucking liability this season
-
Carr was at fault for the first as much as Given and gave the ball away for the second, i'm a little more than annoyed at him
-
more assertive than Shay but far too many mistakes, no thanks
