Amazing that Allardyce was hounded out after a couple of indifferent months yet it's taken this long for Pardew to be called on his nonsense.

I think the last 4-5 jobs he's had he's been good, average/poor, good, average/poor, good, and so on so I can't make up my mind. I'd have him (and 99% of the managers alive I've heard of) in instead of Pardew. We can do a lot better, though.

4-4-2 really doesn't get much love these days. Shame. With the right personnel it's the best formation to watch.

Sure they were both box to box midfielders but their primary function was to defend. Vieira and Petit scored a total of 4 goals in their double winning season. :) You've just made my case. Box-to-box midfielders who scored goals and helped make them. Anyone who thinks we can play genuinely attacking football with Tiote and Anita as the CM needs talking to.
