Robert was allowed to play his game, that makes a massive difference. Bobby had Robert in his office 'more times than any player' he ever worked with to explain to him his defensive responsibilities.

Robert played for us for 4 years, not 5. I love Hatem, our best player by a distance but Laurent Robert in terms of substance was magic, and on a different level.

You don't need Lampard and Gerrard in the same team, one or the other would be fine. They just cancel each other out IMO. Totally different players now. The midfield is not the problem with England and hasn't been for a while.
