Gila is very good has been heavily criticised this season but in truth has it all and just needs a good partner to shine ie Ronaldo. He's not a flashy type of player, nor is he clinical, but his contribution is very effective and he will score goals
-
the thing is, Viduka is the type of player that causes teams problems because he's a dying breed. Only Drogba is more asssertive in the box, surely people can't expect us to get any better for nothing
-
the pass to Cole in our game away to Man u, 1993-94, absolute class and our first premiership point
-
Acuna was actually very good in my book, was my favourite player for a while, always worked hard and scored goals
-
What a load of utter f****** s***. not even worth it mate, blatant WUM
-
agree with that, but saying Geremi is 'great' at RB is overstating the case a bit
-
never compared Figo to Milner but you said 'wingers have to have pace' it isn't true if you're good enough on the ball and can provide delivery
-
sad thing is they are the best lyrics i've read on this board all week
-
another great addition to the board one thing being a WUM, another being pissed off with your life and taking it out on people you'll never meet
-
Gilardino Shevchenko Ronaldo scary Old and flabby. with 10 goals in 13 apps, yeah, do your research
-
Gilardino Shevchenko Ronaldo scary

Milner is utter s****. Nice lad, works hard, but wingers have to have pace, a trick, beat the full back and put a cross in. Milner can do none of these things consistently and should be flogged to Wigan or Stoke immediately. Figo hasn't had pace for the last 5 years, still best winger in the world in that period
-
Wasn't he your top scorer with 11 or something, the season before he came to u? Could be wide of the mark with that but i think i can remember him bagging quite a few one season. very true, their top scorer for 2004-05
-
completely agree with the exception of the Ronaldo reference Ronaldo and Solano are in different leagues physically, Robson recognised that Solano couldn't play twice a week
-
Given Solano Taylor Milner Barton Emre Owen Viduka given that's likely to be the 'spine' of our team next season, which is the player most likely to do something cringeworthy?
-
indeed Taylor's been a liability in several games this season. But like Shearer before him, his bad games are either swept under the carpet or regarded as a 'everyone was shite' performance. pathetic, he likes to think he's a tough guy, but come on, captain of a premiership team aiming for top 6???
-
Your Newcastle players of the year 1993/1994 - 2006/2007
Ronaldo replied to Leazes1986's topic in Football
you forgot Butt, surely only Milner's real contender Taylor? give me a break -
Hardly the most accurate account I've read. how do people get away with writing such shite? jesus christ
-
great news, thanks for that forza Milan
-
Do you think these two have reached the standard of play they were playing at Newcastle since leaving. Bellamy did at Blackburn oh and wasn't the John Carver incident a little more two sided than people here are presenting. Didn't Carver throw the first punch?
-
I honestly believe that Sam isn't a nutcase, and is content with a front quartet of Michael Owen, Obafemi Martins, Mark Viduka and Shola Ameobi, and isn't senile enough to get rid of someone with the sheer class that Owen possesses, for some downhill renegade who can't score into double figures - who doesn't have a neck. to be honest, Owen's also all downhill from here
-
Barton really is the biggest cocksucker the premiership has to offer

SBR or not, when Bellamy and Robert were absent that season we looked a different team and not for the better Obviously, considering they were two of our better players at the time. Same would apply to absolutely any team. not really, Man U lose two of their 'better players' ie Vidic, Carrick, they're not going to look a different team Spurs lose Zakora, Keane, they're not going to look a different team. We did, Bellamy and Robert transformed us from a hard-working half-solid unit to a team with real penetration. Say Man United lose Ronaldo and Scholes then, they look a different team? yeah, then they are a different team but then Ronaldo isn't one of their 'better' players, he's their best which was my original point about Bellamy and Robert Debateable he's their best player, Scholes and Rooney are just as important to them. Say you take out Rooney and Carrick then, I'm sure Man U would struggle still. Not denying Robert and Bellamy were very important to us, but they were hardly our two stand-out players or anything. If we took out Shearer and Solano during the same period we'd have not looked the same team either. come on, Robert's contribution to goals (50 plus) thst season, Bellamy to a lesser extent perhaps
