Me too. Hell of a player who hopefully kills off any chance Jonas has of getting in the side.

Who said we have the option to make it permanent at any point during the loan?

Not mentioned at all in the Official site article so maybe we don't? Was it mentioned when we signed Hatem?

    Alan Pardew

From some of the idiot fans maybe, not from Ashley and Kinnear.

Option to buy not in the thread title?

I'd imagine Kinnear's relationship with 'Arry probably played a bigger part in this than Pardew or anyone else you could feasibly put in a pic with him.
  7. Drogba beat Arsenal again? Wenger still doesn't rate him no doubt.

    Alan Pardew

I read shit like that and almost want Kinnear to take his job.

You'll no doubt be complaining about how bad we are at defending and attacking set pieces and blame it all on tactics in due course. Aye, let's pair two of the smallest, weakest CBs in the PL. Genius. How could that go wrong?

Taylors like half an inch taller than Yanga-Mbiwa. http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,93045.msg4525954.html#msg4525954 Aye. I think I'd trust official info over a analysis based on a photo where either person could simply be standing slightly differently. Official info. Mapou's tiny for a CB, it's that simple and it isn't a good idea to partner him with one of the physically (and aerially) weakest CBs in the league. It's a pointless argument anyway because Taylor and Colo are seen as our best combo by Pardew.

You don't need two towering cb's, the problem is we haven't got even one who is dominant in the air. You need at least one who can do it, and Taylor's the best in the air by far.

Taylor in for Mbiwa and that's one hell of a side. I missed when you said it before Ron but what's the thing you worry about with Colo and Mapou together ? Both very vulnerable in the air, and to physically dominant players. I'd rather Mapou be Colo's eventual replacement than his partner.

Even more with Mbiwa in there. The guy's tiny for a CB.

  16. Probably the second daftest one you'll read in here.
  17. It didn't slow his punches or footwork down until the end of the fight. It mainly stiffened him up and reduced the angles he could punch from. What Bruno's trainers were thinking of in letting him hit the weights to that extend is beyond me. Not that he was ever really capable of achieving more than he did.
  18. No, there isn't. Cabaye isn't suited to playing that high up the field. He'd do well in a partnership in which the other player is able to get forward.
  19. Come on, lads. Zabaleta's twice the player. There's no chance.
  20. Should stick with him over Ba.
  21. Given that you yourself said a while back that he'd been figured out and couldn't be trusted under pressure I'd say you think the truth's pretty close to what I've been saying.
  22. He was much much quicker. When he was at spuds there wasn't anyone who could beat him for pace, he was a beast but put on too much muscle which slowed him down. These days you'd have him keep that pace instead of strength but back then ferdinands & Shearers were all the rage and doing the biz. Few injuries later in his arsenal career and his game was totally different. Early sol was amazing. I keep reading that on here. How does muscle slow you down? A sports scientist would laugh at that comment. Sol was strong and quick, but never Rio quick. Prime Rio had absolutely fantastic pace.
