  1. The only way they could get it is to make thier stadium bigger than ours. I doubt they'd even get it with a bigger stadium to be honest, there's other factors such as transport infrastructure, hotel beds other facilities. Would make no sense giving them and have most people stay, travel and socialise in Newcastle when all the facilities required are pretty much around or in the area of SJP
  2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tottenham_Hotspur_F.C Another slight at Ashley's Spurs connection - Note the colour of their very first strip as a professional club
  3. I wonder what all the little dyslexic children will do at Christmas now Setanta's Dead............... I'll get me coat
  4. http://www.safcstore.com/product/1661/The_Fantastic_Four It's already out - bit sad when the timespan of the 4 games is nearly 20 years!!! "It was fantasy football for sunderland fans as the Black Cats recorded 4 big derby wins" Wonder if they get a free box of kleenex with every dvd
  5. Also the same day as SBR's charity game at SJP. I find it a complete lack of respect to the great man that we're even contemplating a game on that day. It's in his honour to raise money for a good worthwhile charity. The sooner these fuckwits are out of our club the better
  6. Don't think I'll be getting one for my hols, would look like I was in camouflage here........ http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/6660/38051940.th.jpg
  7. If Newcastle was a woman she'd be the sole reason why domestic violence existed!
  8. Whoever buys the club, it would be immense if they took the Sports Direct Logo down off the Gallowgate and burned it in the Centre Circle at our first home game!!!!!
  9. Of course had they said the Arabs had bought 60% of a Championship Club, everyone would know it was us. Could be a smokescreen..... Highly unlikely I know but hey ho we can dream...........
  10. The bit about him still working away would be true I reckon, he'll have an idea who he wants and some players will have been undoubtedly sounded out about whether or not they'd be interested. Shearer will know a lot more about the situation then we think, it's just he's not sharing it with the tabloid press as per any confidentiality agreement he's more than likely signed himself. Had Ashley been completely fucking him around as has been suggested I'm sure we would have heard something other than titbits from "club insiders"
  11. I would laugh my tits off if the only premiership clubs that came in for him were the likes of Hull, Stoke and Burnley. Never mind, Tranmere might give him his dream move back to Merseyside
  12. I could see the £15M being what we expect to receive from the sales he allowed on credit, whereas he paid upfront for Nolan et al. I know he's openly put this £100M price tag on the club but prospective bidders really have him in a corner. He's not prepared to invest further money, so he has to sell at any price really. If he lets the club go to rack and ruin, his investment depreciates at an alarming rate. If we were staring League One in the face due to his mis-management he'd be looking at a fraction of that amount. My gut feeling is that we'll be sold, but not at £100M. I'd see a scenario where the amount paid was undisclosed as it would allow him to walk away with a little dignity. He's quite frivolous as was shown with his HBOS gamble, and basically this is another gamble that hasn't paid off. The hit he's going to take won't financially ruin him, but I doubt if it's done his credibility any good. Before he bought us, most of his business dealings were only reported in small inches in the business sections of Newspapers, being a football club owner has brought pretty much every deal he has done under scrutiny. His "apology" and actions following that have been too little, too late, and his only hope of coming out of this with some dignity is to sell to people who can genuinely take the club forward. If he gets a couple of firm offers below his asking price I'm sure he'd be advised by Seymour Pierce to take what he can and run as a matter of damage limitation instead of hanging in for dear life and getting nothing. I also think we can take Alan Shearer's continued silence on the matter as a positive thing too. This is more than likely because he knows far more than he is able to let on. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that he is waiting for everything to be signed off, and that as soon as that happens the players will quickly start to find their way in and out of the club. If this doesn't happen, it's probably going to mean a few years in the football wilderness, maybe even a spell in League One as a worst case scenario. But as has been shown with Southampton we'd eventually end up in the hands of people who care. It will mean ridicule on the scale we have heaped on the mackems year after year but at least we'd take the fat cunt down with us, portrayed as a cry baby who would rather ruin one of the fine institutions of English Football, than let people with the will and financial backing we require. Whichever way this goes I'm just looking forward to us eventually having a clean slate, start from scratch and be able to look to the future.
  13. http://www.newcastle.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=158310 Probably a load of shite, but what the hell it's a glimmer of hope
  14. They have a handful of people in Mackemland. They also have around 120 people working in Gateshead at teleperformance. The staff there probably won't be arsed, they'll just go back to claiming disability living allowance, half of them look like something off The Hills Have Eyes
  15. Are we absolutely sure that we arent part of a new Channel 4 reality show Instead of Big Brother we proudly present Big Daft Cunt, the programme where a self made Billionaire turns an established Premier League Football Club into nothing more than a Sunday League Team
  16. so that means the profitable group isn't one of the four ? seems like those having a go cos they are at the races are those who look for the slightest non-sensical reasons to have a go. due diligence is being carried out, they may well have been told it will not be completed in the next couple of days and i'd imagine if they got an offer they could be informed. the vast majority will be in the hands of seymour pierce. This. The press must think Ashley and Co have never heard of mobile phones and Blackberries. Quick Call, Consortium A wants to pay £100m is that ok? Of Course, get the paperwork over and I'll sign.
  17. 4 Groups Looking at books but NOT FFS or the profitable group according to the Ronnie: FOUR mystery bidders for Newcastle United are believed to have signed non-disclosure agreements as Mike Ashley’s slog to sell the much-maligned Magpies continued today. The Chronicle also understands that both the Profitable Group, who expressed their interest through a leakage in the Chronicle last week before entering a similar agreement, and a consortium involving Freddy Shepherd are both yet to provide investment banker Seymour Pierce with proof of funds. And proof of funds is the key to moving forward for the rest of the interested parties as Ashley aims to take the £100m asking price as soon as possible. After a fleeting visit to Tyneside, managing director Derek Llambias returned to London yesterday and isn’t expected back at St James’s Park for another week with the club being run in the capital, mainly through investment bankers Seymour Pierce. And despite reports this morning there will be no closing date for bids, with the sale expected to run on and on until conclusion
  18. Tonights Ronnie reckons Frazier Campbell wants to sign for us - NEWCASTLE United could yet hijack Hull City’s bid to sign England Under-21 ace Fraizer Campbell. Sources in the North West who are close to the talented 21-year-old claim interest from the Magpies earlier this year has turned the young striker’s head. And he is “intrigued” to see how developments unfold at St James’s Park in the next few weeks. Understandably, Manchester United young gun Campbell has delayed a decision about his future until after England Under-21’s European Championship finals bid in Sweden, and told his international team-mates at the team’s hotel he was only focusing right now on helping bring the trophy back to English shores after his side beat Finland 2-1 in Halmstad last night. And while that decision is likely to frustrate Hull manager Phil Brown and his chairman Paul Duffen, it could yet work in United’s favour, because by the time Campbell returns from England duty on June 29, Newcastle could be closer to a takeover with Alan Shearer in charge. Leeds’ transfer-listed Jermaine Beckford is in a similar position, and it could also be argued that Newcastle may be a good career move long-term for the young strikers, despite relegation, with the Magpies one of the bookies’ favourites for promotion as it stands. The North West source told the Chronicle today: “Fraizer has heard that Newcastle United are sniffing around. And he is intrigued to see how things pan out up there. “He is well aware that there is some uncertainty at Newcastle at the moment. But he is waiting to see what the outcome of that is because this is such a crucial move in his career.” Hull are also playing the waiting game and are keen to discover what the £6m-rated youngster wants to do on his return. And City chairman Duffen said: “We have to convince him coming to Hull City is the best thing for his career. “I believe the next step for Fraizer is to be at Hull, where he’ll get a start every week and the opportunity to score goals in the Premier League. That’s what he needs on his CV, in my opinion.” Huddersfield-born Campbell has made just two appearances for Manchester United, but has enjoyed successful loan spells at both Hull, who he helped to promotion via the play-offs in 2008, and at Royal Antwerp, where he scored 21 times in 33 appearances.
  19. Finishing touches to accounts being done as we speak...... http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/4120/childcolouring5.th.jpg
  20. This. Why has this "data room" not been opened earlier? Surely it would help the deal move quicker? Because they have set tomorrow as a deadline for interested parties to show they have the money. But like I said why if they are on a computer system do all groups have to view them on the same day. If a group was able to prove they had the money last week why couldn't they see the books straight away and this could continue until the club set the deadline of Wednesday. Probably to keep it fair, no leaked info etc.
  21. It's that bad it'll be in the pound shop for christmas
  22. Paul Kelmsley? Yep According to Piers Morgan in the Sunday Mail, Ashley paid £3 million for his cameo! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1192798/Piers-Morgan-Unfair-Manchester-United-winger-Ronaldo-knows-dreams-Real-Madrid.html Scroll to the bottom of the page If true that must have been the budget for the film, diabolical
  23. Worst of all Santiago signs for Spurs and we get some cockney plonky on a free, sounds about right I suppose
