1. getting confused with all these expected statements...thought it was a statement from the alleged buyers that was coming today. or was it an NUFC statement on the buyers statement?
2. we have Colback back...like a new signing
3. we need to de-scope and re-baseline what the main drivers are and acceptance criteria is
4. '...shifting the paradigm...'...shudder.... i work with a lot of folk in the US, that does crop up a fair bit and Synergy...basically, we're going to lay some folk off.
5. also used in Scrum if people are doing different roles i personally despise 'blue sky thinking' and, worse of all, 'touching base'...always reminds me of touching cloth
6. pretty much summs the situation up. pic.twitter.com/A8F0Zj8ZEI ain't got a clue how to embed Twitter properly....

Alan Shearer

aye just listened to that. completely spot on with the comments. seeing it laid out like that just puts it all in perspective how much the club has stagnated
10. what's the fat man trying to distract everyone from with all this takeover balderdash? more money taken out of the club to hoover up the cheap SD shares?
11. was just coming in here to say that. read the match report this morning and was a tad surprised to see Dabizas in the line-up: https://www.gateshead-fc.com/report-gateshead-4-0-billingham-town/
12. coveting neighbours wife, is that one? or sloth...that must be it. i seem to recall way to much discussion on sloths in the general threads
13. the quote at the start of the video pretty sums it up - 'It's Bleak'
14. probably always - i very rarely read it, but saw this one come up on Twitter. going on their site is an assault on the eyes. large font, double spacing, two sentences ion between adverts
15. about the dispute with Lascelles - https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/matt-ritchie-gives-side-story-15181278 best quote: “I’ve been the same player since day one. Jonjo Shelvey will say to me, ‘Matty, please, just for today will you not shout?’. i'd forgotten how bad the chronicle site is so here's the article: Matt Ritchie says that he and Jamaal Lascelles were on speaking terms within 20 minutes of their training ground discussion last month. The Scotland winger, speaking to the Daily Express, has revealed he is a vocal character during practice sessions with the Magpies . Ritchie said: “We had a difference of opinion and a discussion about it – a lively discussion! “Jamaal and I are two of the more vocal characters, very similar in the way we train and conduct ourselves. “It was something which got overheated but it was nothing personal and 20 minutes later, everything was fine.” Ritchie, though, feels his encouragement at the club’s Benton base is never taken the wrong way. He said: “The lads know me. “I’ve been the same player since day one. Jonjo Shelvey will say to me, ‘Matty, please, just for today will you not shout?’. “I’ll try it for 10 minutes but more often than not, I’ll fail. “Sometimes they just ignore me and are thinking, ‘Just shut up’ but it doesn’t stop me because it makes me demand levels from myself.” “I’ve always been loud, always been vocal. “It’s just my personality and I’ve never been one to shy away from voicing an opinion. “I like to think I am honest and open with those around me and if you are demanding the highest standards from team-mates, your own standards have to be right up there as well.”

i never go on that forum but made an exception after reading all the past 2 pages...what the gibbering fuck are people on across there? 'meltdown' seems to be their favourite phrase when talking about newcastle fans...someone posts a slightly negative post on Twitter = Meltdown
18. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/feb/05/newcastle-united-food-bank-football-poverty Hayden and even Charnley doing volunteer work at the food bank...
19. Jesus. Is that a typical Donegalian trait? I have no issue with him leaving when he did anymore. Did at the time but I don't blame a single player leaving this shitshow anytime until Ashley's gone. Especially where he is from lad (lifford) they keep the same clothes for years man just so they don't have to spend money That's a canny exaggeration. Maybe older generation (70+) who were extremely poor, but i'd hardly call it a Donegal trait. On a side note, he's in Letterkenny, Donegal for book signing this weekend. May wander along Well I work in the oneills sport store just outside donegal .... and the donegal supporters never buy the full price gear ! Always buying the old stuff in clearance from about 5 years ago.... Saying that would love to meet shay ... where and when is he heading to letterkenny ? There is that. The Sports Direct / Heston’s in Letterkenny is always packed. Eason’s in Tesco shopping center. Think on 22nd at around 1pm.

21. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/newcastle-united-jamaal-lascelles-captain-shaken-and-stirred-into-life-a7998906.html not bad article. Also that after Lascelles and Diane had the fight they offered buy lunch for everyone as a way of saying sorry.
22. went to Wikipedia to find anything about him. saw that it's been updated: Joselu was born in Stuttgart, West Germany, and attended school in the country for four years, when his family returned to Galicia, Spain.[1] He has two older sisters. Joselu is also a lifelong Newcastle United fan, having followed Albert Luque's heroics.
23. https://www.irishtimes.com/sport/soccer/english-soccer/rafael-ben%C3%ADtez-back-in-the-big-time-with-newcastle-1.3159380 some good points in the article. Lejune is to provide direct competition for Clark Reiterates what someone else has said on here about Benitez liking competition for places: "Benítez said: “I think my idea always in every position is to bring in players who can compete. Lejeune, he has to understand the Premier League, the tempo and intensity of the league.” and a bit about cup competitions: “I think always at the beginning of every season you try to do your best in every competition, so my idea is always the same. If you can do well in the Premier League it will be easier to do well in the cups. “Our idea will be one game at a time as I was saying last year, so the first one will be against Tottenham, and if we have a cup game we will try to win the cup game. “It always has to be like this, you cannot concentrate on one competition – you have to try your best in all of them.”
24. apologies if already posted, but a short article on Newcastle, Steve Harmison and how he trained with Newcastle to get fitness back (when he was still playing cricket) and how he got into managing Ashington http://www.planetfootball.com/in-depth/newcastle-united-helped-steve-harmison-now-football-manager/
25. http://www.football365.com/news/newcastle-are-sleepwalking-into-a-relegation-battle decent enough article on F365. like all the reports on this, it's opinion and conjecture with no quotes. but decent enough points.
