they've just said on 5Live that Amdy Faye has been arrested as part of this
-
supposed to be a thigh strain...according to 5Live
-
going to harp on about it again, but piss-poor team selection decisions made way too late in the game. Martins should have come on far, far sooner.
-
least Newcastle didn't lose..
-
Allardyce's decisions for this game have been piss-poor.

It's called muscle mate. And Owen has been better than Viduka with crap service. it was an attempt at humour mate. in reply to a message above that post i'm no disputin that Owen's done more. Got mixed up with Scy's post, apologies. no worries.

Owen's no looking all that slim these days. think he's on the Viduka diet..like the Atkins diet, except more pies
-
why is viduka still on the sodding pitch? the fat, pie-eating bastard's done sod-all....
-
the ref is shite. gives free kicks for nothing challenges

will see if i can drag any of me mates to a pub in Brixton to watch it. central London's too far to travel on a saturday..
-
poor bastards...they'll get relegated now.

bbc as well...only says 'sources' though. not confirmed. "NEWS ALERT: There are some sources suggesting that Spurs boss Martin Jol is set to step down after the game against Getafe." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/7060280.stm

i lived in Reading for 8 years so i hope Newcastle hammer them. i can see the same line-up starting against them
-
the commentary said tactical

i remember when i used to live in Reading that the Police used to make some fans walk back to the station. on a Saturday or Sunday the main roads would be shut off at times and you'd have to wait for the fans to wander down the dual carridgeway before you could drive on. not really relevant to the main point of the thread but i'm fuckin bored at work so i thought i'd share

Emre was hobbling a bit towards the end of the game, hopeing that it wasn;t anything too bad. i remember reading somewhere that Barton's back in training so should only be a couple more games before he's fit. http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php we're top of one table anyway..

Arsenal 2 - 0 Newcastle (Carling Cup) - 25/09/07
Munkey replied to Newcastle Fan's topic in Football
just got back from the game (fucking nightmare on the london underground). ameobi is shite...should never be allowed on a pitch ever again. 4-3-3 does not work...Martins was isolated for most of the game. defence looked good (aside from the last 5 minutes)...Beye looked shattered after the weekend, was surprised he started. Enrique was canny good. was sitting in the arsenal end (Holloway Road end i think)....most of the arsenal fans that i was sitting near were muppets. the most imaginative chant they could come up with was 'Who are ye'..and spent most of the game on their mobile phones talking to their mates.. -

going to the game (but having to sit in the arsenal end), i reckon Allardyce's going with: Given Beye - Taylor - Rozenthal - N'Zogbia Smith - Faye - Geremi - Milner Martins - Viduka But i'm hoping that Allardyce gives Enrique a game and pushes N'Zogbia to his best place of LW to give Newcastle more attacking options... Milner - Smith - Faye - N'Zogbia -
just remembered that N'Zogbia's in me fantasy footy team...fuckin quality...
-
still recovering from an ankle injury.
-
they're saying a precautionary measure....so hopefully nothing too serious (assuming Owen does actually do 'non serious' injuries, as opposed to his usual 'career threatening' or 'long term')
-
has owen wandered off the pitch? can't remember seeing him lately...he gone off for a chat and a cup of tea?
-
i'd be getting Enrique on and Smith off
