It’s amazing how keepers always get injured after 80 mins in a tight match
-
Bryan Mbuemo for me - covers 3 positions - LW - CF - RW

If we want cover for Bruno they need to either be a young player coming through who is happy to sit on the bench and we can ease in or a player who can play all 3 of our centre midfield roles
Paulinha for me doesn't fall into either of those categories
Manu Kone or Caqueret would be good signings - both can play all 3 rolesKone would probably suit the PL the most - you could argue Caqueret is similar to Miley/Tonali

I don’t know how to word this without it making it sound like I’m insulting him and saying he is slow.
But it is as if the game and the ball moves a lot slower for him than everyone else. Looks so calm and measured with everything he does. Never seems flustered or rushed. Does the simple things really well and effectively. He certainly plays beyond his years.
Just wait until he fills out - you have to be careful with him until he stops growing - then watch him go - he’s so good on the ball - so clever - learning with every second he’s on the pitch -

Assuming Willock, Longstaff and Anderson are back around January, does the form of Miley mean we don’t sign a CM in the window now ?
Miley has completely shocked me - I can’t get over how good he is for a 17 year old - Chelsea - PSG - Man U in the space of a week is worth more than 6 months on loan in the championshipMy only fear is we lose something when Bruno isn’t there - Maybe that’s Tonali in the long run?
All I know is we need a CB - CF (one that plays on the wing too ideally) then I don’t know where else
IF we sign a CM it will be a marquee signing

I'm (very) pleasantly surprised with just how good he has been. When we bought him I thought it was a lot of money, but crying out loud he's worth every penny!
I remember watching him for Southampton and he was this good back then - you have doubts post ACL but he seems to have picked it back up - throw in a bunch of top class players and coaches to work with, his development escalates.I knew he would be better than Tripps at left back - gives the team a completely new dimension - plus I think its really beginning to benefit Big Joe, who doesn’t have to cover much now - can just hold his role and leave Tino and Gordon to it

I can't see Burn getting in ahead of Tino when he gets back from injury like. Tino is just built different
Burn has been nothing short of brilliant for us - this guy is just at a different level -
Told you all he was Zanetti

When you cancel a loan does it have to be in the transfer window or anytime? Because if it's the latter he could be a great addition going into January to keep us up with the top seven teams.
Depends if there’s a break clause in the loan from either side - the fact he’s getting regular games means we won’t activate the recall clause in Jan and let him develop as he has done this season -

Was Tuesday to Saturday for Bournemouth, but regardless, no decent breaks until January now.
Tues - Sat - Thurs is as good as we could have hoped - hopefully it allows us to get a couple back so we can rotate for Spurs
It’s bloody ridiculous the fixture pile up - mostly caused by the international window - I remember Xmas of years gone by when you had 3 games in 6/7 days - madness

5 days!? ?
Sat to Thurs is better than Weds to Sat which was the issue vs Bournemouth - at least it’s more mental and physical recovery -

Inevitable really, even if to stop him leaving for nothing in the summer.
I think he wanted to stay there - Basque players tend to have a real connection to Bilbao - they earn decent salaries too which helps -
Defensively we are fine - got more than enough “cover”
Midfield and up top its looking tough
there’s a decent gap between Man U and Everton then for Spurs you would hope to have at least 2 back?

Updates from Howe in todays presser:
Sean Longstaff - Not Deemed a long term injury, timescale in weeks and not months.
Joe Willock - Not Deemed a long term injury, timescale in weeks and not months.
Harvey Barnes - Still hasnt trained with the squad, but is making good progress in recovery.
Sven Botman - Still hasnt trained with the squad, building up his knee slowly as to not cause further injury.
Elliott Anderson - Set to see specialist, still looking at a 12 weeks recovery time from the injury date on 11th November.
Re Anderson - stress fracture of the back? 12 weeks is about right if it’s that - going off cricketing injuries - danger is he does it again -

He looks very raw to me.
Said it before, he needs another season at Feyenoord - Dutch league is very good for developing wingers - Feyenoord are the right club for him -

Hope we do but my suspicion is we reckon Minteh will be squad-ready next summer and that'll be that.
Nah I think if we can get another year for Minteh we might keep him thereWonder if someone like a Gibbs White might be looked at? Can play mid and right wing (and as a 10)

This was a known issue at the time of the takeover so will have been factored in to the deal.
But for NUFC, my reading of the most recent accounts is that they had already accrued for expected liabilities due to this.
I.e., unless that £6.2m figure was much more than they expected, it should have no real new effect on FFP, since they've already accounted for it.
I’m sure they would have put a provision in the accounts in anticipation -

Just think its ridiculous for us to complain about handballs when that was completely accidental too
I think the point is that it’s not really different to Tino - you could argue if the ball rolls then Isak has a chance to snatch itBoth were accidental

Wow just seen that PSG handball when Isak was through - WTF?

Pretty sure this spell he's having signals the end for Burn as a starter. The performances are of such a high a level, it seems impossible to drop him.
I think Burn is at the most risk now - both Lascelles and Tino have overtaken him
