Not that I'd argue with Mr T but Ireland next to Nolan/Barton/Guthrie would be even worse than playing Smith.. From what I've seen his work rate as a CM is on par with Nolan's, he's lighweight and s*** defensively.. If he has to play, it should be in a more advanced role..

yep, Lové should go.. You can see he's a determined guy and he's trying very hard but his overall game leaves a lot to be desired and he's not clinical enough for that role.. we must try to cash in before his value drops completely.

tbh, Jose has been good, consistent and professional throughout his time here. If anybody deserves a pay rise, it's him and it'd make sense to make him our highest earner.

I'd stay away from Ireland.. Even half his reported wage would be too much for what he has produced in the last 2 seasons.. I'd be perfectly ok if we don't sign anybody this window. There was one transfer that had to be done - Ben Arfa - and we signed him. We're not really desperate for new faces, especially for overpriced players who have done nothing in the last 2 years - like Ireland and Keane.
