  1. Steady and calm defender and seems like a nice, clever guy. No complaints here.
  2. yea, I'll take the opportunity to pat myself on the shoulder

    Nile Ranger

He's promising but I doubt he can be a reliable player and a Str8 Balla at the same time like
  4. Looked somewhat more determined in pre-season (in the games I saw). It's unrealistic to expect that he'll suddenly start to bang them in but he could be useful. Hopefully Best is clever enough to spot the opportunity in front of him. With Shola and Lovenkrands as his competition - good understanding with Carroll, movement, physicality and work rate alone could be sufficient to win a place in the starting 11. And he's not that bad at those like.. On the other hand, if he doesn't look motivated and disappoints again then his next chance would be in a division below and deservedly so..
  5. The Carroll interview was brill.. I LOVE HIM!
  6. yeah, we're playing at Stamford Bridge with two slow, unfit defenders who have never played together.. can't wait!

    Vuckic

Not that I expect him to be the finished article or anything, but Vuckic has disappointed me a bit this pre-season.. After all the hype, I kinda imagined him to be a bit more creative and technically proficient. Still too early for him I guess
  8. Sol deserves to play.. mainly because he hasn't had many opportunities to show if he's a better option than Williamson. (which I believe he is) However the two won't make the most mobile partnership and it'd be easy for Chelsea to exploit that.. If Taylor is fit (and motivated to play for us) there's certainly a case for him to start that one instead of Willo..
  9. For me, Guthrie has looked equally disappointing this season. He has some skillzz but he always seems to lack determination/motivation/stamina which diminishes his work rate to Nolan-levels. On the other hand, this season's Routledge plays like he doesn't know what to do with the ball, so it's not an easy decision for Hughton..
  10. In which case, I apologise for the confusion
  11. But there's no harm in extending his contract? It's not like we pledge to start him every game till 2016 What are you talking about? I didn't mention his contract. You mentioned that he has been looking iffy in at least half the Premier League games he has played, so naturally I thought you'd be against awarding a 5 year contract to somebody who is a liability half the time..

  13. Hopefully Ranger is motivated enough to help the team, seeing as he's our only alternative to Shola.. And we absolutely must start with two strikers tomorrow..
  14. He's the man!!.. THE MAAAN!.. ON THE SIIIIIILLLVEEEER MOUNTAAAIIIIN!
  15. Anybody remember how he was 'guiding' Colo when he first came here
