  1. Mike Ashley has spent about a fifth (£250M) of his £1.4Bn wealth on Newcastle. Abramovich has spent about one fortieth (£600M) of his £23.5Bn wealth on Chelsea. Who's risked more? Anyone complaining wants their fucking head read.
  2. There's the answer. Rob W is the problem.
  3. It's telling that Owen's been scoring with his head so much for us. He's previously been more of a poacher, like Cole. Difference being Cole had an altruistic strike partner like Beardsley who probably single handedly doubled the lads value. What wouldn't I give for another Pedro to play alongside Owen.
  4. I love them both. Mainly because one is black and the other is white.
  5. Swearing's against the rules now? Fucking cunts!

I've not read the whole thread, so apologies if it's been done, but... http://www.herecomestheboss.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/ashley3.jpg
  7. Hope not tbh. Carling Cup is a competition we could go far in. In a way would rather field the weakened team at Arsenal as we'll likely get beat or only pick up a piont there anyway whereas the Carling Cup if we field a full strength team we could likely make it the the Quarters or maybe even further. You get nowt for reaching the quarters of the Carling Cup though. Overstretching Owen, Guti, Milner, Taylor or whoever could leave us without options for the whole season. I think Keegan would do well to avoid that risk. Mebeez start at full strength and go all out attack to have a clear half-time lead and change things about.

  9. 5 games in 13 days for a lot of our players. With a lot of travel for some. I'd expect a changed team.
  10. I'll stake my reputation Smith breaking his duck in this one.
  11. What happened? Got kicked out the ground and ticket taken off me for standing waiting for people at the bottom of the stairs. Steward was a cunt, basically picked me up and through me out, then after i had a go at him the police took me away Got another ticket and was then taken away by the police again. They nearly broke my fuckin arms carryin me away. I am looking for somewhere to report the steward, but even after finding the head policeman, he couldn't do anything. Any advice ? Sit down when you're told. Fuck off man I'll not offer you any advice when you ask for it again then. Why didn't you run to the nearest pub and watch it on TV. That's what I do when I get hoyed out.

  14. I don't know what's funnier. The write up, or people taking 4 paragraphs to cotton on.
  15. The super slo-mo of that on SkySports was great for picking out the distraught Man U fans.
  16. There's probably a few dickheads on here who are gutted he hasn't broken his ankle, guess those who doubted his injury yesterday are looking a bit like cunts now. Good performance from the little rat. I doubt anyone wants him to get injured like.
  17. You can give many examples like that; the 4-2 win over West Ham with Souness, the 4-1 win over Alkmaar with Roeder, the Arsenal game with Allardyce - and sat that this one is no different... the difference here is, we have several better performers and a manager who isn't guaranteed to make it all go tits up in a couple weeks' time. Nobody can know what will happen over the next few weeks. It was a good performance. I'll keep my feet on the ground for now though.
  18. It's a futile argument tbh. We can go on about who was missing from the Man U line-up all day, and still can't say for certain we wouldn't have got the same result (or better even) had the obvious players been on the pitch. You can only play what's in front of you, and the game was between NUFC and Man Utd, two football clubs. Who was on the pitch is irrelevant, and history books will say that the game ended 1-1, with the two sides sharing the points. Sentiments shared. I am just happy that they won... onto the next match now.
  19. No better than the home performance against a depleted Arsenal team last year. Nowt to get your nickers in a twist over.
  20. Call me stoopid, but it seems to me that would be entirely pointless. Not really if it's 12 months interest free, you could make a couple of hundred quid profit. It's interest free for the life of the balance. But either way... a) It'll cost you £2K initially, so it's hardly a loan. 2) They only pay 1/19th of the season ticket value minus costs, so you'll get less back. III) What goes in the bank? Won't you need the money from ticket sales to pay off the credit card? Eh? I know nothing of said card offer, but I was under the impression that if you bought your season ticket with it it would be interest free. Whast this 1/19th crap? The only problem with whacking 4 season tickets on an interest free credit card (I was referring to the Barclaycard Premiership card that gives you interest free for the life of the balance on season tickets) is finding 4 people who'll pay you face value for what they can get at the ticket office against their own name and address. Unless you can find 4 hooligans that have been banned and want to try their luck, I can't see it happening.
  21. Call me stoopid, but it seems to me that would be entirely pointless. Not really if it's 12 months interest free, you could make a couple of hundred quid profit. You will need to run the numbers on how that works to me as I appear to be very stoopid! I'm not working it out exactly as banks do there interst montly generally but. You buy the tickets, sell themf or face value. You have 2000. If the card is 12 months interest free, whack it in a high interest savings account with about 7% apr. You get the 7% apr which will be more than 140 as I can't be arsed to work out the cumulative interest. EDIT: Use the 2k to pay off the card after 12 months or whatever it is. Ah right. Nowt to do with seat exchange then.
