Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League

We've taken 10 from the last 12 is that right? Gayle to come back, I think we'll be OK. Would Feel a lot better if we'd won tonight mind. -
Anyone else now hoping for a reading win and a loss for us No?
-
Was thinking the same thing.

Then that's the end of that I'd say. Just a suggestion, who knows, but IF that was the case I'd say he can go and f*** himself to be honest. I agree if it is but all the reports have suggested that he is keen to come - everything points to the fact that Ashley has a new crane to lift him back up and is trying to play football manager again - we will see but I will be very surprised if anyone comes in by tomorrow of any stature. If he was keen to come why would we not just pay the £13m and get the deal done? If there's a loan fee which we don't want to pay then that would suggest it's Townsend that wants it to be a loan deal initially. I reckon it's us who won't commit to the £13m and want a loan in case we don't go up. While we all think we'll go up i suppose paying £13m and getting a player in on Premiership wages would be a risk, if we then didn't go up. The 'Sky Sources' thing on the SSN ticker thing says they reckon we're prepared to pay the £13m. That on right now?

Aye, deals never ever happen in the last couple of days of the window. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I'd be mightily surprised if we did sign anyone. When was the last time we signed someone on deadline day? Last year. -

Did I read they have new rich owners?
-
Hmm not really, pretty reasonable comments to be fair.
-
Will be fun reliving this thread when he turns out to be absolutely fine.
-
Obligation to buy is the rumoured deal.
-
He was fine. I was cringing at the reaction of the crowd every time he got the ball mind.

In the world? I highly doubt that, ha. If it's true then their staff in charge of negotiating need sacked! There was an article out this week about it

c*** never learns if it's true he's refusing to release funds until we're back in the prem. We spent a lot of money on squad & backup players in the summer, now we can't afford first teamers who'll make a difference in the title race. I think funds will be released for the right deal, but I don't think the club is particularly trying to find that deal, more waiting for it to land at their doorsteps and have a nibble. We didn't spend a lot in the summer though. We made a £30 mil profit !! It's not as simple as that though, we've been relegated and taking huge losses on income while outcome stays the same. When you factor we sell in instalments and buy up front, signing on fees, player % of sales etc...it's clearly not £30m profit. The loss come into play until the end of this season though right? Even then, the first parachute payment isn't a million miles from what we'd have got last year (I think). Clearly therell be a loss in other revenue but if we go back up first time I'm sure the hit isn't too bad. Or I might be talking s****. TBH I haven't got a clue when the money comes in, I'd imagine though you get your money at the start of each season in advance or promoted clubs won't be able to spend until they are potentially relegated again. Pretty sure it's at the end but could be wrong.
