  1. I'd take Ramsey. Goal threat when fit. We need that from midfield. Yeah, injured 90% of the time. But still, it's a loan and our other options are shit.
  2. It's always 6pm somewhere in the world!
  3. I agree with this. But time will tell.

If "the fee" is £2.5m + £12.5m for avoiding relegation, then yes, you're scared. Because that's not a fee you'd ask for from any other interested party.

I'd be incredibly surprised if Man U loan us anyone. Think they'd probably rather cut their noses off to spite their faces, and I get why.

    Jeff Hendrick

I worked with a Burnley lad for a few weeks (Ironically out in Saudi) a couple of years back shortly after we signed him, and he told me then Hendrick was dogshit. As ever, the fans of other clubs are generally a good barometer on a player. That said, I bare Hendrick no ill will and hope he does well at Boro. He's not done anything bad here, seems a decent pro, has kept his head down and caused no trouble, he's just not good enough and never has been.
  7. 16 is very, very young. Maybe younger, getting player into the academy at 14 or 15. He's 19, he'll be 20 in June. At best he's young. At 19, Henry, the player he's most compared to, was playing for the full French national team whilst Ekitike has 2 U20 caps and that's it. And whilst different players develop at different rates, 19 is not *that* young. If we were getting him for £10m or so, fair enough, but for £30+m I want someone who is guaranteed to be very good indeed.
  8. What these two said. I mean obviously I trust the scouting process etc and hope I'm wrong, but he just reminds me of Shola when he broke onto the scene - skinny legs, gangly, bit of trickery maybe, but ultimately nothing to get excited about.

We absolutely should get rid if we can. We just don't "need" to. We're filthy rich.

    Jeff Hendrick

We don't "need to make room", we can just not register some useless cunts and let them rot. That said, if anyone wants to take them they're welcome, but there's no necessity on our part.
  11. This guy is good enough to start for teams winning leagues. I think this is an insanely good signing, if Chelsea or Man City had bought everyone would've said it was a good signing. Him and Trippier are enormous purchases.
  12. Then swap Shelvey and Joelinton the other way round. Shelvey can shoot, Jo cannot. But he can press and disrupt brilliantly which Shelvey cannot.

    Dan Burn

No idea. If they all set off now, we should know by Monday.

Voluntary removal. He's in the triads.

Well they'll just wait until Monday morning then.

All I can smell after reading that is burnt toast
  17. It's a hard comparison because Robert had people to aim at. ASM has to do stuff himself. Probably Robert though, but I'd be interested to see how ASM played in that team Robert played in.
  18. He'll play in hotter temperatures in the UK. The maximum temperature in Jeddah today was 25c.
  19. Ha yes, that's true. Such anticipation knowing the record was his for the taking and pandemonium when he scored it. That was vs Villa, 5-1. I remember I always used to have a daft bet with my mate before kickoff who would score first, and that day I said Bracewell, who I hadn't scored all season. He laughed and said "If Bracewell scores first I'll give you £100" which to us as poor students was an absolute fortune back then. Needless to say he smashed a thunderbastard in from 20+ yards.
  20. Haha, just as I post that, you post the Leicester match.
  21. I was in the Leazes behind that Mathie goal. No way did he mean it quite like that, but it was still an amazing goal. Loved the Andy Cole song. The first time I recall it was at the Leicester 7-1 game in the last match of the promotion season, and it just felt like the whole ground sang that song solidly for about half the match. Doubt I'll ever experience an atmosphere quite like that ever again, the ground was absolutely bouncing that day.
  22. I'm just pleased I've upgraded my transfer baths from these....

    Jesse Lingard

Problem is, being a loan, he could walk after 6 months and cost us £15m + wages, the £15m going directly into the pockets of a team who is soon to be our competitor if things go well. In theory, he could even re-sign for Man U again at that point! Maybe if we said £2.5m loan fee, £2.5m survival bonus, £10m if he signs for us in the summer permanently. That I could get behind.
