Smashing it like that so close was so satisfying to watch

Canny annoyed at him for saying he didn’t mean it. The pace on it meant I’d have totally believed him.

Liverpool under Rafa and Chelsea under DiMateo were teams that won the CL and nowhere near the best team in Europe. The latter finished below us.

Also look at his lovely face

Newcastle United vs. Brentford: 02/04/25 @ 19:45 (No UK TV)

Accumulated yellows leading to a ban is fair and good, but the arbitrary cutoff dates are silly - it should be a certain amount of yellows over a rolling period. -
I thought among other club’s das but now our own das.

Liverpool have a good flag of their manager greats - on which Rafa features, incidentally

Pretty sure he went there when the team did. Sela cup or something.

Putting aside any discussion of ethics re Saudi, if he wants to be taken seriously as any kind of impartial journalist on the club he can’t be in the pockets of the owners. Eg if he was to defend the owners’ decisions. Prob not arsed about that though

That's approximately what I am now that we're well into the season. 3/19 (15.8%). I was 0/10 at one point.

Rafa was managing us in the Championship less than a year after managing Real Madrid. It was really quite extraordinary that he stayed to get us back up.
-
Suppose I shouldn’t be since he’s moved a lot, but quite surprised to learn he only managed more games for Liverpool and Valencia than he did for us.

Re-watching the pre-final press conferences with the smug knowledge that we went onto win. Recommend. -

Watching this Brazilian report that Bruno shared and they’ve put the ‘going down for noncing’ chant on in the background (about 25secs in) https://www.instagram.com/stories/brunoguimaraes/3599786991552104054?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igsh=bHZoeWVjaGVlYnZq The whole report is a great advert for the city in Brazil -

There’s a very nice interview on the bus with him and Trippier where he talks about how he learned from Tripps -
Not necessarily against the nod to the tartan but don’t at all see what the fading is about - why try to make it look washed out?

I hope the players really got a sense of what they've done and what it means to us, if they didn't already. There's some overly-sentimental guff about us in the media sometimes, but I really think we're special in what the club means. The one club for a football-obsesed city is a big part of it. My mam isn't a football fan but she started to cry.
