They had a fanzone thing outside at Man City when I went away there this year and I thought it was fuckin horrendous. And at least there it's understandable cos there's fuck all around the ground. Not optimistic, hope it doesn't damage the pubs (maybe I'm talking shite).

Someone going to tell him the 'drastic 4 hour time difference' is actually 5 hours? Tbf he's really appreciating his trip I went through airport security in the US the other day and got pretty felt up - the scanner thing that shows a box of interest on your body told them I had something bang on my knob and/or arse, so they checked both. Fuck knows why the dirty machine was saying that.

Bit of a letdown after last year's pure lovely blue one.

What's gan on? I've only followed this by clicking on one page where people were saying we're fucking class and Tonali is amazing, then clicked later and doom has set in. edit: never mind

I heard Shefki Kuqi complaining about the font in the pub.

That’s the one I wasn’t at, that I most wish I was.

Probably Dabizas at the mackems. I was absolutely desperate to see us win against them, having never due to different divisions, the Roker ban etc. Really wanted to at their place too. Then for him to score at our end, and I was in the second row right behind the goal.

For all the shit Sam gets, he’d done a great job at Bolton and was expected a go at an ambitious club. Carver and Kinnear might be worse football managers, Souness was a terrible choice and v impactful, but Bruce was the biggest kick in the teeth in my lifetime , just a real statement of ‘we’re shit and it’s all you lot deserve and are ever getting’
-
I believe both are correct because we can treat it as a plural noun, like people, ‘group’ or bands. It’s definitely a Brit - American thing. It’s not normal for a Brit to say ‘Newcastle is’. Similarly Americans do treat bands as singular - an American would typically say ‘Oasis is…’.
-
This club statement uses the American convention - that really winds me up - of using team names as a singular noun i.e. saying "Newcastle is" rather than "Newcastle are" (which too many sounds much more impersonal) When did this start ?? https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/latest-news/newcastle-united-appoints-simon-capper-as-chief-financial-officer/?fbclid=iwar3nsucolfr88avrs0olvn_kq7z02im-eg_80i19sigrx4i_hiupzph7im4

Probably the best at SJP I remember was Barcelona in the second group stage of the CL in 2003. We were good that season, and needed to beat them (and hope Inter dropped points) to go through, but they were just a class above. Recent Pep teams and some of the ManU teams will be up there too though. Used to be amazed by the speed Ferguson's teams would counter-attack, something could really appreciate in the flesh from the Milburn. edit: never mind, I just checked and Barca came 6th in La Liga that year

Christ, I'm out. Hope ASM stays, would be good for him to be part of the first team to win something after keeping us going through the shit.

The idea that it's common for women to go through the ordeal of a rape trial based on false accusations is absurd. As it that that not proven = the woman's a liar (or all the women). It's 2023 ffs.
-
Been pissing myself at that.

I got ten on the expensive player quiz. It's hard these days with players going for silly amounts all the time.
-
Is that def him? I can barely recognize him - never noticed he's ginger before.
-
I mean we did have the Barca win and the cup final (/semi final win). Those shit seasons were still much better than the Ashley years - the Barca night alone is worth years of nothingness.

The shorts were made of some weird plasticy shit.

Malala Yousafzai's husband has 'Forever NUFC' in his twitter profile. So maybe her now too.

It was a beauty - that's his last goal in English football. Also got one in the League Cup earlier against Hull. Pearce scored a free kick in the Champions League against Kyiv.
-
Aye Pearce was decent - and went onto have a couple more years at West Ham and Man City. Must be the last time though we signed someone who'd already been a manager? Barnes half-decent. Rush was well and truly finished. His last goal in English football was with us, despite going onto player two divisions down for Wrexham.
-
Pure love him, don't know why.

Is there a picture of this?
