  1. Can only think the atmosphere varied a lot spatially. surprised the safe standing part would be a shit bit - would think you choose to be there cos you want to gan radge
  2. A lot of the lower tier was standing all game. I couldn’t see the upper tier well. Did they show our flags in the last 5 minutes on the telly? That made me emotional
  3. Didn’t think that at all. Only time it was like that was when I briefly ended up around a little hardcore bunch with pyro and that on Wembley Way. Hardly heard them in the ground apart from the odd rendition of their shearer song. Thought the atmosphere was decent enough at our end - considering it’s never going to be like an away game, and the two goals - and seemed clearly better than what was coming from their end. Only let down really was some of the groans at ASM
  4. Struggling to get up for this. The prospect of Haaland kicking us when we’re down. Id like a mid season break for a bit please to get caring about the league again
  5. Amidst the disappointment I’m so glad for this lad that he had a solid game in a cup final
  6. Im not very analytical when watching from the stands, but it seemed frustrating that we were getting in good positions around the edge of the box then trying to find the perfect pass when sometimes we should needed to have a shot. Particularly ASM making a good run and I expected him to cut in and shoot, but he didn’t and it’d fizzle out
  7. Eating a McFlurry alone in London now after getting away from Wembley. gutted really. Seeing that clock tick away. The screaming rallying cries not leading to anything. My eyes started tearing up when we were waving the flags and scarves in the last 5 minutes raging seeing the ManU fans getting on the tube with us who hadn’t stayed for the trophy. Football is wasted on that lot. Fucking plastics will never know the joy we feel when it finally happens (and my only consolation is that eventual joy feels like it can only build more with every failure along the way. But now I know it will actually come.) love the toon. Trafalagar was amazing. oh and there were two empty seats next to me in Club Wembley (block nearest our fans) - disgraceful
  8. We haven’t lost by three goals all season. It’s possible, but it’s not ‘realistic’ - it’s unlikely and it’s ostentatious pessimism.
  9. Just back in from Trafalgar. Going to be fucking amazing if we win. What a buzz. Haven’t seen a single ManU fan, saw loads of ours before got to the square
  10. Has someone contacted the Chronicle about Mike's trip? Sure he could get in with an awkward photo. Dumping his Liverpool shirt in a Bigg Market bin.
  11. So we’re 4minutes less than ManU, who are above average. Hardly shocking stuff.
  12. Just read our sixth choice keeper (Max Thompson) - who was seventh last month with Darlow here - has travelled with the squad cos Jude Smith, 5th choice is injured .
  13. Given only one team has beaten our proper team this season, we definitely have a chance like. Chance of a draw is fairly high surely - hope we’ve been practicing penalties.
  14. Guy in front of me at airport security in Vancouver was wearing a ManU cap. So asked him if he was going back for the match. He said no (was a Manc tho I think) but he knows a geordie that is going from Vancouver. Not seen him yet but maybe we can get Blaydon Races going on the plane.
  15. I know what you mean. But would be anxious about losing a regular physical ticket, or my phone dying on a digital one. I'm just going to be a mess either way til the game's over or we're 4 up.
  16. And now on the mainland. Just walked by the Vancouver Whitecaps stadium. The first goal ever scored there was by Peter Beardsley...
  17. On the ferry. (Windy so outside deck closed today)
  18. Ah nice! I live in Victoria at the moment
  19. Why aye just had a BC burger and poutine. Called the coastal cafe now but serve their stuff.
