Im thinking about wearing a Newcastle under layer that I can have on display at the end for the victory party. I might wear the grey 80s away top to be a bit extra cautious. Can only see the sections we’re in here being totally dominated by toon fans so imagine it’ll be quite partisan - but sounds like they’ll be strict on entry

On the ferry from Vancouver Island to the Canadian mainland, to fly tonight. got a toon top on it happen

It's a good tune though. I miss some of the simples one that could go on for ages - toon toon - black n white army - before it started to fall in on itself after 20 seconds. Or BOBBY ROBSON'S BLACK N WHITE ARMY (WE HATE SUNLUN!) -
Fucking hell yyyyyears since I've heard about smoking tac.Had completely forgotten about it. Do people still say it back home?

I probably would from a football point of view, since I'd make them favourites to win the match. But christ, from a health point of view...best case scenario is me spewing on the person in front. Thought I was going to pass out when Shearer stepped up to take his away at the mackems.

My USL boys San Antonio FC have announced a summer friendly against the mackems

Sweet Caroline and Sweet Chariot are both two of my most hated crowd songs. Please god no.

Do you know where this is? (specifically, I know Newcastle). Thinking if Nobby goes there it might be a decent Latin American place.

His wiki page is canny harsh and makes him sound shit. The Liverpool section is just a list of errors I'm sure he was overall decently rated though til the final. The final obviously affected him though and made him worse to play so little since. Would LOVE IT if he had a good game.

Gone I'm getting flashbacks of the ridiculousness of last year's relegationometer.

Not sure about all of that and find it hard to see them doing anything that involves goals without the ball going in the net- but these kinds of incidents should at least be a penalty. this happens at the end of the game outside the box and the fouled team get almost no benefit - like us v Brighton last season. Probably other teams get more benefit by the player being suspended. then you do get a penalty for a harmless ball hitting an outstretched arm. It’s all out of proportion.

Most home crowds are shit in my experience, especially Old Trafford. The Emirates however was notably loud this season for our game, which I was surprised by. I was near the edge of our lot and I was struggling to hear our own chants cos I could hear the Arsenal fans.

It's bending wide but Salah's getting it before the 18 yard line (I mean Pope is very close to Salah when he managed to touch it, albeit with his hand). Wide enough that if Pope had just stayed in goal Salah prob would've had to beat a defender or two and Pope. But it's become a significantly bigger opportunity by the time Pope's handled it.

Mate. Aye a defender or two are on their way back, but there'd be no goalkeeper. If he gets the shot away quickly it's an open goal without even the defenders. A one-on-one with a goalie is itself considered a goalscoring opportunity - this is easier than that. It's a clear goalscoring opportunity.

(Touch of sadness hearing his answer to the manager one now)

I'm not going to get too het up about Liverpool fans singing YNWA during the Atsu minute, but I do think it's a bit shit. The song is not like a universal song of support or respect, it's a song sung in support of Liverpool (and a few other clubs) - it's their anthem, that's why they sing it when they're winning etc. Atsu has no association with their club. It comes across as sort of egotistical and just distracting to me - inappropriate. I know it wasn't meant as a sign of disrespect though, so that's that.

Defending should've been better for both goals, but less raging than I was at the time - I didn't appreciate how brilliant the passes were for both. Also Nunez's touch for the first one.
-
Frustrating watching it back - the balls really curling out towards the wing. He'd have had to at least beat one defender being getting it past Pope if he'd stayed in.

He was pretty well regarded at the time and his career has tanked since - to being our third (or even 4th? Darlow came back in ahead of him when they were briefly both here and fit). Definitely seems to have had a long term effect. He's obviously got quality there though, would absolutely love him to become a hero.
