  1. What are they like? When I was living there Adam Snider added me on fb and invited me every match. But I could never be arsed getting from Hyde Park to a northside pub for 9am. Same
  2. Howay man Cuba, get yerself over. Embrace the most beautiful thing about your country - 0% APR balance transfer offers that allow you to shift your debt from credit card to credit card. Live it up and just have a shit old age when we'll be bored of trophies anyway - that's my plan.
  3. Is that in the middle of the game - family coming on? edit: And they're losing
  4. Agree with others who said we don't need to be looking at beyond Gallowgate expansion/~60k for now. That makes it significantly easier to get tickets - but don't want thousands of empty seats when we downturn or the novelty of success wears off.
  5. Bobby is remembered for much more than his time at Newcastle (as good as that was), he's a local guy highly respected in the world of football for his numerous achievements and legacy. But it's like fans have forgotten that and see him as a mythical NUFC figure. I love Bobby and think he should be remembered and celebrated as a whole- but also think you're right, it's become a bit distorted.
  6. Realizing that this final is further in time from the 1999 one, than the 1998 one was from the 76 one was one of those 'shit I'm old' moments. Thought it was proper olden days the 76 final when i was a kid at the 90s ones - that's what kids now think of the 90s finals.
  7. That's obviously horrible - but one fan spitting being "yous spat on him" it also clearly seems to be implied that it's related to him being Newcastle manager.
  8. Amongst the replies to the mad Eddie Howe flag with Bobby on is multiple mackems saying "you spat on him". I did a little google to read about these mass spitting incidents. One of the top results is just RTG repeating it. What's the story here?
  9. ffs man was about to say needs Captain Tom then saw Diana in the thread And anyone know the origin of 'you'll do for me bonny lad'?
  10. Flights from Vancouver booked. Arrive into London the friday. Weekend in London. Up to toon work remotely during week. Man City away saturday, fly back sunday. Howay.
  11. Interesting. I thought Club Wembley ones were not released to the clubs - were available to 'Club Wembley members' as 'neutral' areas. It was a Club Wembley seat I bought from resale before the semi was played. For one of the greyed out parts though I assume. Guess they've failed to shift a lot of Club Wembley memberships so have reserved part of the area for clubs.
  12. Are those level 2 blocks 228-237 available through NUFC to purchase then? It says they're 'Club Wembley' seats - but colour= available?
  13. That/the article doesn't read as 13k, but as 8k. It says '30+' is 8k, not '30-50.' So the 8k is inclusive of the 2k+3k, not in addition to. It's a confusing way for them to write it. It also makes more sense that way, as it'd be weird if there were 8k on 30-50 specifically.
  14. How does Kuol compare to Jamie Mole? Mole was a geordie lad who I knew a bit at school. Remember bizarrely watching him lead the line against AEK Athens in the CL qualifier after yous came second - only for him to end up have a brief spell at Blyth Spartans before packing it in.
  15. Yes. We're six further games into the season and still in the top 4. At the break: 1 ahead of spurs, same game's played. 4 ahead of ManU, 1 more game played 8 ahead of Liverpool, 1 more played 9 ahead of Chelsea, 1 more played. Now: 1 ahead of spurs, 1 fewer played 2 behind manu, same played 11 ahead of Liverpool, 1 more played 10 ahead of Chelsea, same played. Only worse in relation to ManU (but there's two places up for grabs between these teams), and we've less left to go. (Might've lost on Brighton/Brentford/Fulham - I didn't check.)
  16. You should've seen the relegationometer last season
  17. Only saw from 80 but Man City were really frustrating to watch there when you want them to score - so wasteful.
  18. I'd still be happy if we finished 5th. My expectations have raised since the beginning of the season, but not to the point I wouldn't see CL spot as a big bonus, rather than requirement. It would be incredible if we managed it and hung on, but 5th would still be a great achievement - and I'd be very happy in the Europa League. Below 5th and we've either let Liverpool or Chelsea catch us after terrible runs, or someone like Brighton - so that'd feel a bit of a disappointment now.
  19. Does he not know there's VAR man? ffs Better chance of a penalty if he just stays on his feet
  20. That's rattled me. Not used to conceding, or the idea that we can.
