Get the fuck in. Wouldve been gutted not to win that the way the game went.
-
Don't celebrate your first goal for your boyhood club in case it gets ruled out 5 mins later for some convoluted reason. Don't even give a fuck if it was right or not, it absolutely sucks the soul out of the game.
-
There was a lovely delay in the celebration sound there

(Also which Keith are we talking about? Presumably not Keith that used to do the buses and got banned at the Hull match ??- now following non-league I believe)
-
It would've been strange to shift him for 5 mil in the summer of 2004 (Bobby's last). People talk like he was obviously well past it but he'd just come off the back of a season where he scored 22 PL goals (28 all comps) (!) and was planning to retire the following summer. I think we're allowed a little bit of sentimentality of not binning off one of our greatest to a direct rival when he's got a year or two left and still looking good. It'd have seemed outrageous at the time.
-
Also he's saying Bobby wanted to sell him too? I've heard that, but wasn't that years later when he was getting on? Doesn't really seem relevant to that period, when Shearer was in his prime and would be banging them in for next few years.

I think maybe the We Hate Sunlun helps with keeping time though? Used to do that with the equivalent Bobby chant and it could go on for ages.

Proper soul destroying these kinds of fan reactions - similar to way some of our own carry on about Saudi state, or Man City fans embarrassingly booing the PL anthem. -
Listened to his podcast where he said he drank from the Brighton keeper’s water bottle and then poured the rest out when we played them on a hot summer’s day. He lives for that shit.

Seems like Manquillo is his best mate, need to keep him around to keep Miggy happy. Appoint him in a Terry Mac role.
-
Get the fuck in. Win. 2 goals. Lovely - despite all the nerves
-
Get the fuck in I love you Miggy. Can’t wait for the vamos papi instgram story
-
He’s had a good game then slipped. ffs having to score now without Isak
-
Looks to me like Isak would really benefit from having another proper striker to be able to play in. Maybe if he was a wide left forward. Good at attacking down left then looks like there’s a gap for someone running in (ASM good though like so..)

Good job we had Karius in at Wembley to keep things respectable

Newcastle United vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers: 12/03/2023 @ 4.30pm (Sky)

Feels like a lot of pressure this one with our form and the table jumbling up behind us. Win and we’re 5th, even chasing 4th with the games in hand. Lose and we’re looking as far behind our shoulders as 10th. -
Im skeptical of Anfield and Old Trafford being good - if they are that’s very new, I’ve never seen it. No doubt they are on special nights. ManU friend was in the home end for our game at SJP against them last season and thought it was amazing. Someone off here said Chelsea was good this week. I believe them, but that was a midweek CL win. Stamford Bridge was shit just last April when we played there (with a large amount of safe standing). I agree ours needs big improvement but jm skeptical that we’re getting left behind by those kinds of teams. It’s shit a lot of the time and capable of being great in certain games.

It sounds like we’re singing you’ll never walk alone..???
-
Well exactly, so I think it’s unlikely his exile and Howe’s comments about commitment to NUFC are just about him normally complaining after Liverpool that he wants to play.
-
I just read it and didn’t see that there was no bust up. I read that all they know is Fraser wanted to leave but remained in squad, was dropped for Liverpool, Fraser expressed dissatisfaction, was then dropped from whole first team squad. Reads to me that there likely was a bust up at that point.

‘Persistent standing’ in a regular seated area is considered a safety hazard I believe, hence why you can be warned for it and we’ve previously been collectively punished as a fan base. They’ve given up now but we’ve had away ticket allocations reduced for it, as well as things like no alcohol allowed for us in the ground. (In safe standing areas you still have a seat, but you have a rail bar as well)
-
The lower Gallowgate is really tight (as in your knees squashed in front of the seat in front) - I don't think there's space there for safe standing without restructuring the steps (and reducing capacity a little?).
-
I’d interpret doing a Colo as actively engineering a move back home. That’s what he tried to do with San Lorenzo a couple of years before actually going. His dad talking in the press.

Nothing too special but I thought he looked pretty decent.
