I think it's stupid to have a gk as captain. They're isolated. You want someone amongst it all, rallying the troops.

Butt behind Barton could be possible. But neither are creative, which is our main problem. Do we not need a creative man alongside our tough tackling barton? If butt and barton could work, then i'd think parker and barton would work, in which case we should have kept parker. But i don't think it would.

I don't think football's just a game. You spend loads of time and money on it, travel the country, experience great happines and sadness over it and we're not even playing it - just supporting. Playing it is a game, supporting it isn't.
