  1. Obviously an exagerration, but he definitely appreciates his time here and the fans. I don't think he does. I dont hate him as alot of people but i don't think he'd say anything +ve about us, only that we provided a stepping stone to bigger club. If he really thought that i dont think he'd have directed his celebration at our fans.
  2. Wrong. No, he's right. It would move to 8th. Yes 8th wouldnt have to take it, but in reality they would. No, it's incorrect. Theoretically, there is no specific position for the Intertoto Cup. It's whoever finishes highest in the league of those who have applied. Theoretically yes, but in reality any team would take it, so it will go to 8th. It's one round against a reject club, everyone was up for it last year and it'll be the same this year. It's as good as an extra UEFA place given the new system.
  3. Yeah, but everyone applies now because it's only one round. Wrong. No, he's right. It would move to 8th. Yes 8th wouldnt have to take it, but in reality they would. Things have changed since we got in as 14th. It's far more attractive.
  4. The strange thing about the 1st half...bellamy was like the focal point of the game, yet the defence just kep leaving him! Bellamy shouldve had a hatrick. But we improved in all areas as the game went on. Do you remember when bellamy did that SSN interview he said "I physically just couldn't play at st james' in front of the geordies in another shirt. I couldnt bring myself to do it"? His celebration suggested otherwise.
  5. I thought it was a dive by taylor like. I was right in front of it, and i was just about to shout at him for being stupid. I'll be dissipointed if im right, but i dont have any sympathy for liverpool - they got bowyer sent off last year.
  6. I think 7th or 8th is definitely a possbility, and 8th could be europe. It's so tight.
  7. I dont know why you'd leave at 2-0 down. You've always got a good chance of coming back at home, particularly v a team like west ham.
  8. I'ver never understood why jenas always gets in.
  9. Well Ive noticed a remarkable thing. You english lads only make riots in other countries. In you own country you can walk along with the opponent ( most of the time), In Holland the hooligans demolish there own cities. And when abroad were the most friendly country in the world. But Italy is shite in all of it! Just to point out, I'm a Scotland fan, not england - so i have nothing to do with the england fan's antics. But i do think england are not the worst.

    This season

Well it depends. Bottom half i wouldnt be too pleased. Could cope with 11th. Top half i wouldnt be complaining but i'd have an underlying dissipointment. I reckon we'll finish 8th. Which would hopefuly be europe. Below Manu, chelsea, liverpool, arsenal, bolton, pompy, spurs (probably in that order) We could well come ahead of any of or all of the bottom 3 of those. Bolton were in prime position for 4th last year in March and we came ahead of them. Pompy are starting to shake, and spurs i dont really know what to expect from. Should take over everton and reading. We do have some hard home games though. I think Roeder has many +ves, but i question his motivational skills. We seem to be too fragile sometimes, collapsing after conceding a goal. oh, and where's this £20mil transfer budget come from?
  11. The English always get labbeled as the football hooligans. While it seems to be present to an extent with the national team, the italians are far wose. I've been to 2 games in italy compared to god knows how many here, yet ive seen far worse there than here. I went to scotland v italy at the san siero, and italian fans were fighting amongst themselves below us, throwing flares at each other and at the riot police. Apparently AC V Inter fans (V police)
  12. Never heard that like. "Al the lads and lasses there, al the smiling faces"
  13. Just shows what attitude he has if he cannot contemplate a player choosing the club he loves. they had a game in hand on 12 though, so it was effectively 9
  14. Yeah, unless it's a loan with a view to permanent.
  15. No he didn't. The linesman gave offside. Yes, though, overall i thought he did well - tried to let the game flow.
  16. Sue him good. I can understand his decision, but resent him for it. (im a scotland fan). About 2 years ago To be fair, he left manu cos of the scotland job. Tommy burns is expected to be scot manager.
  17. I dont believe it, but oba was one of the better players on saturday.
  18. We're 14th. That run towards the end of the season is showing all the signs of a fluke tbh, our form pre-Feb last season is very similar to this seasons. I know, but i'm confident we'll be considerably higher at the end of the season, which is what counts. I wouldnt label a club based on their current position unless they're way off what you previously considered them.
  19. I'd be suprised if it's Anton - i think we'd have to pay a lot for him, partly because of his surname.
  20. to be fair i dont think we are. I dont really consider 7th mid table.
  21. A true Newcastle fan would only believe in Shearer.
  22. I'm inclined to agree. But if he came in late and was never really a chelsea fan - just liked watching them cos theyre good and close, and he has good reason to support the toon (there're certainly no glory reasons) i think he should be allowed to repent.
  23. Ditto I agree. Are you a geordie living in toronto, or a canadian that's started following the toon?
  24. The thing that makes me think this is a win up is calling it a 'barcode' scarf. Forgive us for being suspicious. This is the kind of thing someone would do asa wind up, and there was a mackem invasion yesterday.
