I e-mailed Sunderland last year regarding the matter, as every singly year they've invaded upon scoring. They assured me everything was done. Well... Not only did it happen upon scoring, but i think everyone knew there'd be some sort of invasion at the final whistle. So why wasn't it prevented? Not once has it happened at St James's, and we've had a lot more to invade over. Of course it wasn't an innocent invasion either, they were using it as a route to us, where they proceded to throw coins and other things at us. A guy next to me cut his head and my Dad went off 30p richer. Pathetic, it really is. I mean imagine if we did it everytime we won? Nothing makes you feel better about losing than getting out of Sunderland, and arriving in Newcastle, knowing they have to live there and with them. Obviously people are going to retaliate when they're charging at us and throwing things. Not encouraging it, but no matter who it is, it's going to happen. And I saw one bit of seat be thrown from our end.

I think Everton are the only other team I'd actually say I like. If Newcastle liqudated i think i'd have a casual interest in Everton.

Well 599 in a way. I've got one, but i can't get down from Edinburgh now.

Is this the worst time you have had being a supporter of NUFC?
Superior Acuña replied to kane2005's topic in Football
Honestly, i think it is. (Been fan since first kk era - due to age not glory hunting). We've been crap on the pitch, but we've never been such an utter joke right through, in my time. -
Are people still wearing their toon tops?

This. SOME boycott is a must if you want a message. Honestly, chanting is really not going to do much. We've done it loads before. Loads have. Something big and noticeable has to happen to show it's not some other little grievance. And Keegan chanting when in. And the players aren't stupid. It's not a lack of support for them, they'll be glad we're making a strong point they support. Seriously chanting 'll do notihng. Villa had their little chants and ellis banners for years. An empty stadium even if for 15 mins will really stand out!

People acting like you're not a fan if you boycott. It's only one game, and some sort of boycott, full or partial is the only thing that will really attract any attention. If there's no boycott then most will do nothing, im not going to sing sack the board with a load of charvs before the game. I think the players would understand and appreciate. I expect theyre on KK's side. They'll all be off anyway, apart from the new signings maybe. Good luck to them, they should leave. I'm disappointed it seems there'll be nothing. It may sound good written down 'i'm going to go, sing and stay' but it'll do nothing. They'll hardly notice, it's weak and it won't make a point. Little things like that have been done loads.

If Keegan gets sacked because he wasn't happy about answering to Dennis Wise then Shearer will laugh in Ashley's face if he offers him the job. Exactly, who the hell else would want to come in? Who of any quality? -

If this is true, i really feel very dissillusioned. It's difficult supporting a club when you don't really 'like' it. -

I normally ignore these things, but think there could be truth in this. Wouldn't be surprised if he left now, or very soon at least (one more thing to push him over). Wouldn't blame King Kev. -
A guy on the radio rang up in response to slagging of the atmosphere. "He's probably from Manchester though. What's he's got to realise is loads of us travel 100s of miles. I'm from Cornwall, while he's probably popping around the corner from Manchester" as if it was making him a BETTER fan because he's NOT local

Surprised, thought it was going to be Amady when I read it. Thought he was our best CB (seeing Beye as a RB) - good signing for Stoke, certainly. Assume something happened.

good player. omnipitent . 3 players in one apparantly. Hasn't got a left foot mind. aye. good in the air though. might have a problem with Sunday fixtures Dodgy temper and doesn't take kindly to other team mates being worshipped. Doesn't like gays either.

I think this could be a good appointment.

One of the best games i've been at. Snowing, and put us top of the league for christmas too. I got hit in the back of the head by beefy when we scored, so he gave me his hat. I was 12 at the time i think.
-
We don't know what to do about this. Surely this is just going to lead to tickets being sold amongst fans, as i dont believe 1500 go to every game.
-
What really annoys me... I accused an Arsenal fan from York of being a glory supporter a couple of years ago. He adimitettly denied it "Hardly, we haven't won a cup in over a year. We're not really that successful. Haven't won the league in 3 years"
-
That would be embrassing...we barely sing our own players names ffs! Fancy us getting a draw, can see Oba scoring again I assume he was joking. It's very sad for him but it's not something the opposition sing your name for!

To be fair, i wouldn't be surprised if we had a bash.
