  1. We dont really have the luxury to think like this, the home leg is the next game after Spurs and the away straight after True, if we can go all out for the home leg though as we have a week and a bit before our next league game. Maybe put likes of Anita, Perch, Haidara, Mbiwa, Williamson - one of Cabaye / Marv and see who else we can slot in there
  2. I think if we get a couple more wins we should def go all out for this like. We will have nothing to play for in the league and can try and get Semis / Final of this - just imagine it (I wouldn't be able to go either as have first bairn on the way and couldn't afford it ) - would be gutted
  3. Players with vision and good football brain generally know how to play with players of the same ilk quite quickly and read other players movements well

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I would expect he will find a lot more space with Sissokho, Gouffran and Cabaye roaming

    Alan Pardew

Hi Mike, Dekka. Enjoy the game yesterday? (we're not getting relegated ) I mean the club and fans should give him a chance assuming he has a good finish to the season. We are not safe from the drop yet, hope the players aren't thinking that way

    Alan Pardew

Hmm not to sure now, the last few wins and transfer window have me hoping we are turning the corner. His subs yesterday were reasonable, bringing Marv on when he could have gone for Shola. Willing to give him time now with the new players to see if he really is capable of getting us playing well. The shape and play yesterday were spot on and the players clearly like playing for him. I was one who really wanted him gone and if we don't start well next season he has to but if we stay up I think we should give him the opportunity to build a squad

    James Perch

This, he wasn't picking up enough, I thought he was bang average and would throw Tiote straight back in tbh - alternatively I would drop Anita in there This basically tells how much he has improved. To even have the conversation whether Tiote should replace him would've been hilarious couple of years ago. Mind Tiotes form has something to do with it too. I think it's mental now to have that conversation. Perch is a decent squad player but is nowhere near as good as Tiote imho. Yes Tiote has struggled this season but is still effective at breaking up play, I think Tiote will flourish with Cabaye back, Sissokho in the team and Debuchy. He used to hold onto the ball to long and I believe it was partly due to a lack of options to pass to such as Jonas, Simpson, Williamson etc
  8. I think we need 2 more wins to take some pressure off and look upwards. Be nice to get 1 against Spurs and then Southampton. Villa, Qpr and Wigan to go down I think now, they couldn't buy a win at the moment
  9. If we get Tiote in that midfield I reckon we will get something here. Needs Tiote to ruin Parker and Dembele
  10. Don't know if been mentioned but it was refreshing for our Right Back to actually put decent crosses in, he floated a few over into good positions

  12. You could see the delight on Pards face when the crowd lifted, can't remember if when 2-1 down or at 2-2. And Steven Taylor trying to gee the crowd up half way through. Fantastic game, thought at 2-1 down that was it for us but we just kept going
  13. thought he was fantastic yesterday, so hard working and calm with the ball
  14. No Hazard, Mata and Moses is a massive leveller for us tbh. I can't see them starting Ba on the right. Lampard is still a danger but if we starve their midfield we have a massive chance, their outlets on wing are severely limited. Ba is the danger man really

    sunderland

Don't believe we were every in for him, look at our recent history of signing players, nope no English and certainly wouldn't spend 5 mill on him
  16. Why would we do that, considering we now have to pay him to be on bench for six months and get nothing for him
  17. We need to keep up the pressing we had going on against Villa and try somehow to run over their midfield. Long balls would be a waste of time with Terry/Ivanovic/Cahill and Shola/Cisse/Gouffran won't win a thing. Need to get it on the ground and play through them. Maybe Gouffran right and Marv left this time, we need to turn their central defenders as there ain't much pace there
  18. Obertan's looked good this season more often than not. He's a very good option from the bench. On the left he is a better option than Jonas imho. On the right he's often shocking
  19. Didnt get their first choice? prob everton
  20. Hope Sammy, Tav and Fergie are sent out now
  21. That's exactly what one of the lads said to him on the phone the other day. Told him that 20 years of friendship was ending here and Danny basically said he couldn't care less, it's a business! Going from 18k to 30k a week is a massive difference and it could be his last chance at his age. He desperately wanted to sign for us until Llambias intervened. Shame really, I think he could have been useful. Ya don't end friendships just because he plays for that team, it's football ffs - might not like the fuckers but I have quite a few mates that are scum fans and haven't ditched them just because they go to watch that.

    sunderland

went to school in Heworth. 100% sunderland territory. Plastic mag, marra. I wouldn't have said Heworth was total mackem territory like. There are a few round Pelaw (My mates) but would say there are a lot more nufc, and he is def nufc, but as you say they will try and rewrite that so that he was a life long scum fan, its a coping mechanism Heworth, Pelaw etc must be at least 90% B&W shirley ? It is, the lads I know round Pelaw/Heworth are mostly mags with 3 mates being Mackems and a couple Man U fans
