    Alan Pardew

He brought Sammy on when we were protecting a lead, pretty sure someone slipped him something before the game It was like the anti-pardew today, no Shola in sight and no shutting up shop, just sensible playing down the clock in their corner for last few mins. Looked dangerous on counter and heard Pardew saying to keep the ball and on ground. Played some nice simple stuff and stepped it up when required. I liked the shape we had today, still needs a bit of work but Cabaye in front of Sissoko and Anita may just work. Still think Cisse looked s*** though, needs to get back to scoring I think that is the perfect position for Cabaye tbh. He doesn't have the engine for box to box so that's Sissoko who will also go on his little runs, impressed with some of his balls for the forwards to run on to, Anita will play deeper keeping it smart and ticking over, Cabaye "defends from the front" as he likes a battle but he also has the quality to create or score goals. Potential to be a very good trio there but as you say it still needs work. Agree, always been potential in those players, maybe Pardew has finally understood their strengths, Sissoko in home games will bomb on more I reckon and hopefully Cabaye will just step back at that point to cover. Can't wait to see Remy when fully fit and think Gouff coming off bench will cause havoc. Was impressed how we went on to win at 1-1 because I really thought we would crumble at that point but we just kept going and controlled the game well

  3. Back 4 all played well, more intelligent than having Taylor in it

Did the right thing today and subs were right, no defensive and shutting up shop shit. When we were winning he brought on Sammy, maybe progress at last. We have a great chance to kick on if beat Hull
  5. We look competent up to this point, brave team of Pardew n look dangerous at times. Lets get a second
  6. My interest was tweaked in last 15 mins against Fulham with Remy in the team and I could see possibilities. I await tomorrow to see my little bit of optimism fully smashed to pieces and doom and gloom returns. Please Pardew for the sake of football attack them and fuck them up
  7. They played better passing football than our team has in quite a few years
  8. At least their parents handed them in I suppose, not sure I would have done
  9. Has to start Remy with Cisse and Ben Arfa, criminal not to. Sissokho, Cabaye and Tiote?Anita in centre please.
  10. Maybe Pardew, Kinnear and Ashley should be there tonight to see the sort of atmosphere that is possible if you stop treating the fans like shit.
  11. Whoaa hold ya horses, the DoF hasn't had the chance to prove he's an imbecile, only had one transfer window, what do you want signings or something. For all you know he may have revamped the whole setup at the club and the ethos throughout is to play tippy tappy barcelone type stuff like his mate Pep had told him about.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Seems so so long ago when Robert was here, loved watching him play.

I meant that we invite too much pressure and there are never really options for him to play to, so he tries to retain it / play sloppy balls back to defence. I think it comes down to the movement around him. Put him in a team better at retaining ball and would look totally different imho

tiote raises my heart rate when he has the ball on the edge of our box. Me too, it's properly nerve-wracking. Yeah it's quite the rush - I still think there's a good player there somewhere with Tiote Same, but if that good player doesn't show himself this season I'll lose any faith in him. i'm not sure it's entirely up to him. I think he's being asked to do to much and also our style does not help. If he's bad this season then agree we should just sell, although I would rather get rid of Pardew and see what would happen if pressure was off him a bit.
  15. Never seen Barkley really, heard he's decent, do you think he will be top class? In a word, yes. Then again I thought Rodwell would be brilliant - I still think he can be excellent - but injuries have taken their toll and of course, the utterly absurd move to Man City. If we weren't well stocked in central midfield, I'd have him back. As for Barkley, he has a footballing intelligence well beyond his years. Could make a fair case of saying he's been the best player on the pitch in every single one of our 3 games so far. He makes some mistakes, of course, but his directness, quickness of feet and creativity suggest he's got a massive future and, perhaps a bit biased again, but is well worth his place in the England squad, if we are judging relative candidates. It's difficult because I used to think players should earn an England call up and I thought why the fuck is Townsend in there, however young players are not really first choice at their clubs because of the amount of foreign players - us being a prime example. Hopefully the likes of city and Chelsea don't try and buy and ruin him then, he'd be best off at Everton for years to come rather than another squad player at fantasy football united (Fucking hate those two cuntish clubs)

  17. Also, Lambert - yes it's nice to see players work there way up and make it, but the reality is he could only play in world cup next year and will be retired or close to by the euro's. What's the point, try and build a squad that is sustainable for next 2 world cups.
  18. Need to put a couple young midfielders in and start forming next team, may be pain in short term but better than Lampard and Gerrard who won't play past World Cup. I mean Lampard has some good qualities, but he's 35 ffs, need to bring through another midfielder, even if not that level.

If Sissokho can improve his end product and do more of his powerful runs it will be exciting, so quick at times just needs to start scoring /creating from them I thought he was injured? What injury?
  21. I'm not sure how much a boycott would affect things unless sustained over a few games. Mass walk out half way through a game would be fun, however will just see us end up in championship. Better idea would be whole crowd protest at the game and venting feelings just not sure how that would work. I do think our fans need to stop accepting it and at least show some passion at the games, its very subdued now.
  22. Watching England is just not exciting whatsoever is it, they are the equivalent of us on international stage. Lampard and Gerrard in midfield together ffs, I tend to lose interest in games after first half and switch it off.
