Thought Cabaye at least tried to get us playing today. Wish Ben Arfas engine had started in the first half also, he was quality for that 10-15 minute spell, just nothing went for us today up front. We need to play compact against Chelsea and look for the breaks. I do hope Pardew does not change the 4-2-3-1 formation though, it allows us to be fluid, just needs to tinker with the shape

Thought he was rattled at first but grew into the game and was quality after. Definitely big player for future, good on the ball, getting better with his discipline and defending also. Shows Simpson right up

Maybe the time is right to put Ryan Taylor or Perch in there. Both offer more than Simpson tbh

Just thinking of all games watched this season and think I have not watched just the first arsenal game. Never been to any away games this season but every 1 been on in the bar. Don't know what I would do if I had to go back to listening on radio if sky somehow screw it over. Still think sky should just start offering an away season ticket for each club, that way attendances wont be down and they get more money and we get to watch in comfort of own home. Tav, fergy, vuckic, abeid and Sammy to start coming through and our squad wont look to bad. Do add have any other promising youngsters that may make grade in next year or so ? Aye, I was torn between Tiote and Speed but when I realised how attacking the rest of my midfield was I went for the more solid defensive option! Left out Woodgate as he wasn't in the teams the Mirror article used which isn't really a massive surprise given his injury record. As if your actually going to play that team at some point

Agreed, which is why I would add competition rather than sell him. He is a very good squad player I think

So you can understand it? It is over the top at times, but I think the majority are happy for him to see the season out as long as he's replaced in the summer. Replaced as in sold or competition added, I would not get rid of any apart from loven, Smith and Guthrie

Getting him and Taylor back with what we have right now would be great for next season. Might start controlling games a lot more.

To be honest he has picked up lately and as part of a squad I would keep. He is not good on the ball though. From a work ethic point of view he works as hard as anyone, and has stopped backing off quite as much. I like him tbh as a squad player. Would like some competition out there though, it may help him lift his game

Going forward we should just give him license to roam if we can become more dynamic. He makes some things look easy, like the Bolton game other people saying rubbish defending but his acceleration, balance, agility and ball control got him that goal. No other player in this league would have executed that move. The only issue I have with him is sometimes he needs to look up and release the ball rather than trying to rape the opposition and score ridiculous goals. He has the technique of a messi but not the intelligence at moment in my eyes
