He's never been 'pretty good' at any stage of his NUFC career. His contribution ranges from shite to absolute fucking holocaust. Sorry you must have misread the "I thought" part of my statement.

I thought he was pretty good for the first half of last season when we were insistent on playing for narrow victories. He pretty much became surplus though for the second half of the season when we realised we were actually too good for most of the teams in the division and started rolling them over.

That would be me. When it's prima tossers like the Nani/Ronaldo sort, waving the invisible card is infuriating to see but I think it's circumstantial. When I play, and if I've been wiped out or seen a player on my team been wiped out and the ref doesn't do anything I'll sometimes without thinking say "surely that's a card", as it's frustration. I guess when it boils down to it it's the ref's job to take the appropriate action, but I can sometimes understand it. I've set myself up good and proper here haven't I....

A 30 year old should not be 'raw' ffs you're right, but he does score goals. He'd improve us.. although that's not saying much.

Pav is raw, and will just as likely send a shot out of the stadium as he will stick one in the top corner, but he's certainly not shite. He's very direct as well, not afraid to shoot wherever he is. I'd have him with us for certain.
